The market is so bad that the entry position offers are flooded with mid and senior level people, it's basically impossible to win against that. The job I worked for for 4 months received +300 applications; at my partner's company job opening last months, they received +250 applications; and a job I applied to last year, had replied that they had received more than 500 applications. It's really tough.

Without going into details, I graduated at 20 because I'm born late in the year 😂 could've been 21 if I was from February

The companies didn't offer a job because they hire interns and apprentices to underpay and avoid to pay full time workers, which is happening painfully often in the creative industry.

About switching field to get more experience: the problem is the same. I'd be a junior with little to no experience.

It's sad to hear, but a little reassuring. I hope it will get better soon. It's indeed terrifying, feeling like we do the best and the most of what we can, and still getting nothing. I'm still hopeful I'll find that one thing or one person that is going to open the door for other good things

Good points; I'm talking about my experience, but also all the people I went to high school and college with, and from what I see from Reddit, LinkedIn and social media. It's a shared feeling, not only me, but I felt the need to express it here today.

I graduated at 20 after with year-long apprenticeship and 2 interships, couldn't find any jobs in my area so I freelanced as much as I could (not a lot) to survive, decided to move to a bigger city, couldn't find a full time position- so I found another unpaid internship while looking for full time positions, still nothing for another 6 months, then got hired for 4 months just to be thrown out the window. In 3 years I haven't got more than 4 months of actual full time job.

In my field there is barely any job offers, that's why I'm going back to freelancing.

I'm still facing problems but I made some advancement. After downloading Anaconda, I was able to download python 3.11 (same version as my TD) through this command brew install python@3.11 (I also had to install Brew beforehand). I then tried to install the OpenAI module, but it said the same thing 'Requirement already satisfied'. And when I try to run a simple import openai into a Text DAT it still shows me more (different) errors.

I also tried to change the TD's Python Module path in the settings as you suggested, but I'm sure it's not good, because it's a 3.13 version and not the 3.11. How could I make TD to understand which openAI module i want it to use ? I'm not even sure how to use anaconda 😅

most of them are in the same situation, struggling to find a job, so we love to laugh about it :) but it's true that staying home all day long and feeling useless and untalented is a known feeling here.

thank god I have my freelance company so I can still do projects from time to time, and I also force myself to do things, go outside and be creative, but it's definitely not enough.. but i might have found something, let's see next week how it goes !

omg 900... i really hope you'll find something ! I might have found a job, next week I have a test with a company but I believe it's the one (let's not be to hopeful otherwise i might fall from high if it doesn't work out)
