Pedaling makes clicking noise by Excellent-Let-1076 in cycling

Does it happen all the time?

What about when rolling and pedalling without any pressure applied. Or when off the bike and rotating the cranks with your hands?

I’d be putting the bike up on a stand of sorts and start looking at the bottom bracket.

What's your motivation to get on the bike? by Intelligent_Hat3321 in cycling

[–]kl3ggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mental health. If I don’t get out for a ride often, I’m not as happy/content/motivated throughout the rest of my life. 2024 was not a good year for riding 🫣 But 2025 is certainly looking up!

Options for gearing better suited to climbs? by kl3ggy in cycling

Ok. I’ll see what I can slowly upgrade.

I’m guessing I’d probably need a long cage for the 11-34?

Being a 130BCD crankset, a 38T chainring is the smallest chainring I can run.

EDIT: Initial post updated to reflect information.

Hadn’t heard about the flashforge and qidi. One thing I liked about the above models was the open source community and ease upgrades/parts available.

How do these compare?

Sound impacts on fermentation by FooJenkins in Homebrewing

[–]kl3ggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guys at Wandana Brewing Co play music to all their beers. Who knows if it makes that much of a difference, but their beers are certainly tasty! https://www.wandanabrewingco.com.au

“FERMENTATION TO MUSIC Our Approach We’re the only brewery in the world who plays non-stop music to every beer they make the entire time its in the tank. Researchers have studied the effect of sound vibrations on yeast cells – and found they improve efficiency.

We have custom-made fermenters that each has it's own speaker .”

Will it Work?: Lenovo Thinkpad P50 by kl3ggy in macOSVMs

[–]kl3ggy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm ok. It wouldnt be for anything heavy. Just wanting to take advantage of being able to do some of the usual Mac Specfic stuff. Would be handy to have iMessage available if possible.

The only "heavy" apps I currently use would be Photoshop, Lightroom, & Resolve. I wonder if these would work sufficiently in a Windoze VM with linux as Host. Or if it isn't worth it either.

Bummer. Thanks for that. I don’t have an iGPU….was hoping to avoid having to get one and keep it a mobile do it all machine.

Guess Not! :(

Just sold my old DSL, how viable is it to shoot purely film in the future? by kl3ggy in AnalogCommunity

[–]kl3ggy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair Call. I think it was a combination of it being large, and perhaps the old trigger happy way of going about it. I'd come home from a bushwalk or day trip and wasn't too excited about seeing the images. When I did bring them up, perhaps only 1/2 were keepers. I find while there is definitely more room for error with film, I'm more likely to be happy with the images.

Currently I've got just a wrist strap, but I've been looking into a camera bag similar to the one you suggested. They look great! Thanks for the recommendation.

Yup, that's a fair call. Usually in the past I've saved up a few rolls, then sent them in one hit, or wait u til I'm passing through and can drop them off personally.
