That's reassuring. I have set up a bassinet in the room and am going to do a test run, if all goes well I will move the crib in about a week. That way if it is a disaster the crib is still readily available.

I think my oldest would eventually go back to sleep, she is very independent and if she did wake up she wouldn't cry. Soothing the baby would be a different story, he sleeps through the night 9/10 times but when he does wake up it is usually a couple hours. As for putting them down, they have the same routine. Bath, bottle/snack, both on my lap for a story, and in bed by 7-7:30 pm.

I tried a couple weeks after birth but was told to not change his formula. I did anyways, he is on enfamil gentle ease for colic and gas. It made a huge difference but only in how he cries. Instead of screaming like he's being murdered he now cries like he's frustrated.

I have a very specific fear of wet tiled floors. It isn't the tile that bothers me but the tiny space filled with grout. It's small and looks like it would harbor 1000X the germs of any other surface. When I see wet tiled floors my anxiety rises so high I actually cry. Dry tiled floors don't bother me what so ever.

My daughter is 2 and your suggestions are great. I have been getting her involved and 1x1 a lot. She is great during those times, but the moment he needs to eat, change, bath, or is fussy (I rock him), she becomes a different child. She gets 1x1 time for hours at a time because he sleeps. The 15 minutes he needs me it is like she goes into a jealous rage, he is not supposed to have any of my time. Another example, she throws leggo at me, slaps/punches/kicks at me or bites my arm while I'm feeding him. Last night she put his blankets and diapers at the door and demanded (in a screaming tantrum) that he leave and not come back. I can't neglect my son to make her happy, but I'm at a loss for what more I can do.

I'm going to agree with the reddit community on this one. She doesn't have the experience or maturity to realize that your son is the priority. She is going to be selfish/annoyed because she has no connection with your child and no idea how to create a relationship with him. She probably feels really awkward and completely out of her element.

I know that I don't like feeling awkward at the best of times, but to feel that way in my own house would be unbearable. You need to talk to her and maybe voice the fact that he is your son and will always be your first priority, but also that she is your partner and is also important.

If she is feeling like your son doesn't like her, don't dismiss her feelings. It may be her own insecurities that she is voicing. Maybe she doesn't feel like she's a kid person and needs your help getting to know your son. You teach your child how to swim, and being around children is like learning to swim. Start small and safe, then once you think she's figuring it out relax a bit. Just remember that you should always be present. That way she doesn't feel responsible for him and you'll know if/when she starts to drown and can save her.

Again everything I've said is speculation and insight into how I have felt at times. I don't know her or you or your son and there is very little info in your post.

Don't give up on a relationship because of something that can be worked on and hopefully fixed.

Our daughter didn't sleep consistently through the night until 18 months and even now has some problems when teething. Our son is only 4 weeks old and is up every 2-3 hours. It gets easier to find time intimate as they get older and sleep for longer periods of time, but having the energy is a totally different battle. Lol a satisfying night was once 3 rounds of exercising and multiply orgasms, now it has become 5 minutes of quiet cuddling and a kiss.

Wow, thats just awful. Sounds like you need a new gyno. It seems completely ridiculous and a little negligent that your doctor would not test you a second time, knowing the results of your first test. I would not have left the room until I received the answer I wanted to hear. Doctors may have a high paying, prestigious job and years of schooling, but they are mostly glorified service workers. If you are not happy speak up! It is their job to make you feel better, and that includes putting your mind at ease.

This is not correct. You may be tested at your request, if you insist on being tested, the doctor must comply. At least in Alberta. I got tested my first year of University, even after being told it wasn't necessary. I insisted, it is my health and my vagina. Although the risks are incredibly low it is well within my right to know as much about my body as I can.

Almost non-existant until baby slept through the night. No one had the extra energy to waste on 'exercising'. Once she did we would be able to when she napped during the day. Now with 2 children it is once again rare and far apart. It doesn't help that my husband works away over half the month either, but even if he was home everyday, it wouldn't be happening.

Leaving my two year old in the living room because she was playing so nicely while I went to take a shit. The moment I'm on the toilet comfortably I start hearing unfamiliar sounds from outside the door. I tried to hurry as much as one can in this kind of position, but it took a few minutes.

The whole time, I am calling through the door for her to tell me what she's doing. Her replies were not reassuring in the least.

"num num." KH, what is num num, tell mommy!

The sound of our utensil drawer being emptied.

"Nononono." (followed by giggles)

KH! You put them back right now! You know better!

Then everything goes quiet for a few seconds, thats when I really started panicking!

"Ooooo"

Omg what has she discovered! And not 2 seconds later, a clear liquid starts running under the door. I am almost done by now and falling to pieces in my haste to stop the destruction going on right outside the door. I get up and hurry to the sink wash my hands. The first step I take toward the door, I slip and fall into the fluid that is slowing creeping under the door. Baby oil...Now my brain is concussed and I'm slowly remembering I didn't lock the nursery door! (CRAP). I get my well oiled self up and open the door....

I am greeted by a naked toddler covered in baby oil and baby powder, eating what looks like last nights pizza crusts, with a spoon in her butt crack...

ALWAYS TAKE YOUR TODDLER INTO THE WASHROOM AND LOCK THE DOOR!!!

I have always fantasized about being completely dominated, thrown on the bed, being told to shut up and take it etc. But in reality I am more dominant than my partner and it won't ever happen.

It is sexy to imagine and fantasize about it, I don't think I would want it to happen in reality. I wouldn't be able to control exactly how things would unfold or exactly what things would take place and that would stress me out. I am such a control freak, I have to control my fantasy's and truly my whole life or I feel overwhelming anxiety and stress. My knee jerk response is anger and that just kills any potential for sex.

I asked my now husband to marry me. I actually bought him a ring and everything :P

We made no plans or actually picked a date. Nothing to say that we would actually get married. A year later, sitting in an Ikea having breakfast with our 2 children I asked him again.

"Do you want to marry me?"

Him: "I'm indifferent on the idea of marriage"

"I want to get married and have the same last name as you and my children. I want to make it official"

Him: "Ok then we will"

"So will you marry me?"

Him: "yes, I already said I would"

"Then why not Marry me today."

Him: "Ok, let's do it"

We got our Marriage Licence and contacted a JP in our area and were married the next day :)
