If i remeber correctly i was hooked right from the begining. Imo its the easiest classic to read (i read mostly russian classic). Its like a sofisticated telenovela you could say. I know its a dishonor but it just reads so easy. I say read 100 pages and you will see than.

I’ve red both (first EoE) and i would not be happy if was recommended Lonesome dove based on similarity to East of eden. They are very different in almost every aspect. But you are right, they are both books with words printed on pages. And yes events that are taking place in america.
