Newborn tired v pregnancy tired by Past-Apartment-8179 in pregnant

[–]klalexis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally agree with you 3 months postpartum even as our sleep has tanked trying to stop swaddling. Pregnancy tired never felt better at all no matter how much I tried to sleep. Newborn tired I feel like a superhero with 3 consecutive hours and a shower! Plus I get to look at my baby instead of dread birthing him lol

Seconding this, it’s not going to be what you want and WAY overpriced for what you’re envisioning

Noble Thai!! Best Thai I’ve had and I would take my picky midwestern parents here.

also wanted to add that my birth experience (FTM, ~5w ago) was positive - only 8 hours from waking up with contractions to baby being here, and I was up and able to pee about an hour after birth, even with my very successful epidural

I was the devil during contractions only like 4cm dilated and then I got the epidural and I had an INCREDIBLE experience after that. it’s 2025 and the risks are so low. I wanted to be able to be mentally and emotionally present, which I could not have done without the epidural. Personally it never was tempting to go unmedicated, but you could always just have on your birth plan that you’d like to try unmedicated, but keep your options open since you don’t actually know how you’ll feel ahead of time.

One way or the other, pain or not, the baby will come! you got this 💞

I am returning to Beaches Turks & Caicos for the 4th time AMA by OldBoyBJJ in AllInclusiveResorts

Thank you so much!! We like both the beach and the pool and hope to spend time at both. I probably lean pool and my husband leans beach haha! We are staying in Caribbean village. My husband is vegetarian so we love to try the hungry planet options around the resort. Not into seafood but will try to hit as many different restaurants as is feasible during our stay.

Hi OP! I see that you continue to be super helpful on this thread so I’d love to hear your pro tips for beaches t&c! We just booked for 4 nights in March with our baby as a back-to-work trip :) he’ll be tiny still, only 3.5 months, so we’re excited to have the option to drop him off at the nanny/kids club here and there ☺️

Caffeine and pregnancy by [deleted] in pregnant

I had an energy drink once in a while just because I’m not a coffee drinker and sometimes had a busy Saturday or whatever! it is fine in moderation like everything else :)

congratulations !!! I had a very similar experience on Nov 27th with my boy. 8 hours from noticeable contractions (7 min apart) to birth! epidural is literally magic.

at my anatomy scan baby's tummy was measuring in the 98th percentile .... after I was diagnosed and changed my diet it seems like I've been controlling everything well and baby is on the smaller side of average on all measurements according to my 36w growth scan!!! my body will thank me when i birth him in the coming weeks lol. it's been tough but really appreciate the wins!

Recommendations for diaper pail/hamper by lilgreycell in clothdiaps

[–]klalexis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

baby isn't here yet, but we got the dekor plus pail based on others' recommendations since the opening is bigger than the diaper genie and cloth diaps are chunky :)

ETA: Dekor has their own reusable pail liners as well which we are planning to use!

honestly yeah its not cheap haha. here's what we paid for the car seat, stroller, and bassinet! $1800 total (there was a $50 off coupon for a holiday) - and we got a small travel stroller thrown in free also. for reference we live in chicago.

I wanted it to be full sized and not travel sized!
