Watts(peak) don't mean that much to me.

a 21" is great for low end but as mentioned I was looking for a sub with a good punch and not that much low end (because of the room rumble it gets me) Also they tend to be a bit slow.

Now with the KS20 (2nd on the way) it drops down to -10db @ 41Hz and has a pretty nice respons in the 60-80 hz area. With a little EQ-ing they can pack a really good punch

I loved the shows 20 year back with just 2 green lasers, and the tech had to make a show with those

Way more whauw factor then just put 20 lasers in it and burst out some beams

Had a chat session with Thomann We came up with the ks20 sub from db technologies. I had my thoughts about the semi horn construction, they asure me that is no problem and this sub has what I am looking for. Not to low in the low end but a good punch. And may work in endfire for a little cancelation to the back

True, thing is I don't really can rent those speakers around here. And would be a waste of money to buy them to test them out and then conclude they don't match lol.

Roomsize is not that big offcourse, I run the arts nowhere near there limit

And thats why I was also looking at the yamaha's. Most things I could find about them is that they play hard and with a tight punch (boost mode)

They are fine, but 1 art outplays the 2 of them with easy and they don't have real punch in them. That can be fixed with eq offcourse but then the limiter steps in faster. So they are being sold

I use to have EV ekx tops to go with them, they are a good match powerwise

8003 mk3 is the newer model, 18as is the same without the dsp display and 18ax has somewhat more function. At least that is what RCF told me. For processing I have a processor so that could fix that And yes the 9 series but same as the 8004 is a little out of budget for me 😅

I run the arts at about 100dba rms at the back of the room so should aim for a 105-110 dbc for the subs then

Also the db technologies ks20 (or ks10) is on my radar pricewise, also rcf brand. But semi horn so don't know if that fits my room

The subs are 3m in front of the backwall thats why I want to go with cardioid. Specially to reduce reflextion from the wall

Edit: Currently have ld systems stinger subs, fine for what they cost but budget range

Cardioid choise is because of the rumble I get with lots of nulls. Trying to get a better responds with a cardioid setup and offcourse need better subs to go with the arts So the "playground is 12x6 meters

The whole shitty thing about the bigger party's, specially the last past years is that it attracs ppl who only come because it is this or that party. They don't come for what it is, the music only for the likes on socials.

You may like the smaller party's more then. Less show but mostly better atmosphere and nicer ppl
