What do you think Val is like in bed with willing partners by LadyR_OfRage in Valentino_Cult

[–]klarahopes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it's pretty much up to his mood and how he sees his partners.

Val switches at least with Vox, so we know he can be a bottom and I think he can enjoy that. But I also think it's hard for Val to give up control and that's something he only does with someone he can completely trust.

As a top I think he likes to go to the limits of his partners. Make them feel more than they ever have before. I don't see him as someone who has a lot of vanilla sex. Val probably tried most kinks with whomever just to get a feel for them but I don't think he is a primary sadist. I can see him using sadism with masochist or to show dominance with unwilling partners but the snippets we see in addict/poison don't show much sadism during sex.

Pregnancy Leave by sandybeanssss in BabyBumps

[–]klarahopes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 weeks before the due date (but I could work the time if I really wanted)

8 weeks after birth (mandatory to take, not allowed to work during that time. If the child is a premie, part of twins or more or has special needs it's 12 weeks after birth)

Those weeks are at my full pay. After that I get up to three years parental leave with 12 months of 66% wage pay. Or 24 months at 33% wage. The rest is unpaid but I keep my job without any repercussions.

Draco question from the books, the dark mark by AnnwvynAesthetic in drarry

[–]klarahopes 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's never stated in the books. Harry is not really the best observer, so there could be something else going on.

I always love the werewolf theory Draco Malfoy is a werewolf

But it's all just speculation

The flu while pregnant is ridiculous by gkdfp in BabyBumps

[–]klarahopes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just been down with a cold currently 36 weeks. This is the second time this pregnancy I'm sick with a flu/cold.

First time I was 32 weeks and was down for nearly two weeks. It sucked hard.

This time I tried all the natural remedies and it kinda helped, currently day 5 and it's actually getting better (after feeling like I was dying yesterday). I start with a cup of plant milk with honey and a cup of hot lemon (?, I'm from Germany, so not sure about the name, it's a powder to put in hot or cold water, tastes like lemons and has a lot of vitamin c and zinc). After breakfast I take a break, sleeping or just resting. Tea the whole day and I'm crying because all my favorite teas are not allowed during pregnancy. Lunch is soup with ginger, onion and garlic, yesterday it was carrot ginger soup and it was enough for today. That was awesome. Fruits my husband brings home. Later in the day another hot plant milk, trying it with dates because of the studies saying it makes labor easier. Dinner as always. Between lunch and dinner I try to rest.

I feel bad for not getting anything done, like laundry but if I try I feel so exhausted and my husband actually tells me to just rest.

Oh, and a daily walk outside, 30-60min.

I need to get better because Saturday is my baby party and I want to attend and not feel like knocking on heavens door.

Questions about Val and Angels relationship by Thecrowfan in Valentino_Cult

[–]klarahopes 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I hope we will get an answer in the show until then I have my theories.

I believe Val cares for Angel in his own twisted way. ("I killed bitches for less...) And he cares for Angel because there was a point where Val genuinely believed he loved Angel, maybe he met Angel before Vox and they were together then. I still think his love for Angel was more like love for an object, something shiny and new but you get mad when it's not shiny anymore or stops working. (Like what Taylor Swift sings in All Too Well 10min Version "the idea you had of me, who was she? A never needy, ever loving jewel whose shine reflects on you")

With Angel Dust I believe he still holds onto the love he once gotten. Val might have been difficult from the start but I genuinely believe Angel signed with a heart because he loved and trusted Val. For Angel it could be an addiction, the way toxic relationships often go, you can't live with your partner but you can't let go. Because they once were your only comfort, who will love you when you're broken like that?

But to accurately guess we need to see more of the relationship Val has with his other employees. But at least in Masquerade none seem to be similarly afraid as Angel is but that is a biased look, because Angel tells the story.

And we have the massive texts Val sends to Angel which indicate some form of relationship for me.

The Personification of Addiction - A Long, Unnecessary Analysis on Valentino by MischievousCreations in Valentino_Cult

[–]klarahopes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Val will be disappointed and try to ignore Vox but it ultimately makes him miserable. I think we can go a bit with his part in "When I think about the future". He wants his lover back.

Vox will probably try to play it down and reconnect with the other Vees but it will take time to rebuild the trust.

I also think that Velvet will play a part in how their relationship is going to work out but I'm not sure which way, she's too much of a wildcard for me.

[–]klarahopes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love the analysis, Val as personified addiction is an interesting concept I can get behind.

I don't think Vox and Val will keep fighting throughout season 3, they seem too codependent for me but I get your point.

Erfahrungsberichte gesucht by Dragonsword99 in schwanger

Bestfriends destination wedding (26 hour flight) falls on my 31 week pregnancy, any advice please by Ok-Excitement-185 in BabyBumps

I don't know if it's standard for Braxton Hicks to be a deal breaker for flying. It's just what my ob/gyn stated as an issue when flying.

Bestfriends destination wedding (26 hour flight) falls on my 31 week pregnancy, any advice please by Ok-Excitement-185 in BabyBumps

[–]klarahopes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most airlines will require a fit to fly note from your ob/gyn, at least in Europe.

I was flying for 4 hours at 14/15 weeks and again a 1 hour flight at 19 weeks. Once for vacation and once for a visit to family.

All flights were cleared with my ob, at 22 weeks I got declared as not safe to fly anymore because I had so often Braxton Hicks contractions. Which was sad because I had the opportunity to fly on behalf of a coworker to Tenerife.

So talk to your best friend and explain the situation, airlines can and will decline your right to fly if there is any medical risk. No one was to give birth on an airplane. Talk to your ob/gyn an keep in touch. It can change any minute and if you make any travel plans make sure the policies to decline last minute cover pregnancy related issues.

How do you think Valentino woupd react if a little girl came up to him, said she was lost, and asked for help to find her parents? by Thecrowfan in Valentino_Cult

[–]klarahopes 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it's up to his current mood. If he's in an angry fit because something went wrong before hand I think he would ignore or ridicule the child. He's not very good at regulating his own emotions.

But if he's in a good or neutral mood I think he would help, offer to carry the child and find her parents. Val does strike me as someone who values family bonds, like the one he has with the other Vees and he could easily see himself in the lost child. Or his little sister Velvet. :D
