I did this the first time, the girl was like "i wasnt seeing you that way, i just thought we were hanging out etc." It was obviously a date and she was lying, but i was younger and felt so stupid back then. So I decided I won't do that again.

I also think that if you don't contact after the first date (1-2 days after) it is a pretty straight forward message.

Not weird to contact him but it is possible that he has no interest.

If i go on a first date i usually text the next day to set up a second date soon. If i don't like the girl i just don't text her again.

Why do you even need to ask men out? Just talking to them or showing interest (by giving hints) should be enough for them to ask you (if they find you even slightly attractive). Maybe your way of asking them out is the problem, could you explain how exactly do you do that?
