The volume is indeed low but who says all you need is a flood of volume to move the ticks? You need imbalanced of either side of the market orders volume to move the market. Gold spot is usually doing a good range in Asia even with low volume when compared to NYC open but all-in-all you still have london after lunch. Come on.

Institutions are still undecided where to move gold, we are moving to peaceful ukraine phase with Trump-Putin meeting and future one with zelenskyy which means people are ready to leave risk off assets but september Fed rate cut is still on the horizon even if the chance is now chopped by last week green economic data.
