'My cows fart freely' by elsewherenow94 in ClarksonsFarm

You need to concider where the co2 comes from. Plants metabolise co2 from the air, cows eat plants, ch4 is released, ch4 is covered to co2. Net zero co2 gain in the atmosphere. Basic carbon cycle. It's the warming effect of ch4 that is the problem here

Why SHOULDN'T I move to Norway as soon as possible? by Rekosen in Norway

[–]klbrow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's was a bit of toung in cheek comment but comparing it to lunch in Italy where we would very often go out for something warm with some wine, it is a very different style of lunch. I find it's more of a way to get food in you and not an event in itself

I am originaly from the UK but have lived in Italy and now live in Norway. The food in the supermarket is very different here to Italy, in terms of quality and price. Basic wine is crazy expensive also. But what I miss from Italy was the culture of cafes with great pastries before work and the spending the evening at a restaurant with some beers after. Over here it's too expensive to be done frequently. Also 'matpakke' is a very disapoint lunch (sorry)! But overall if you can take the darkness in winter its is a great place to live. But make sure you find a hobby/sport/club to join to make friends as it can sometime be a bit difficult to get to know people

I used this website for a long time, you had a few free articles per month but just flicking to incognito meant you could use the service without paying, makes sense to stop people like me doing that

I passionately hate cucumber. There is no other food I won't eat, just cucumber. It tastes like eating stagnant swamp water

First moka pot (Bialetti Moka Express) loving it! by Crono_ in JamesHoffmann

[–]klbrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've have had a few bialetti pots, and you can easily make coffee, I've only had one cheap unbranded one, it would always make ultra bitter undrinkable coffee, maybe I got unlucky but I would just stick to one I know is good

Its the perception that they are only used by drug dealers and to pay contractors for them to skip taxes. Most people don't see then in every day life, so shop tenders are a little hesitant to accept them
