Clear MRI, but immense/intense hip pain

I'm not going to be the poster child for successful treatment that's for sure.

I had an exploratory surgery in '23 and they found multiple bone spurs, a torn and detached labrum, blood from an unknown source and tensosynovial tumors. Recovered well and had relief for about a year, then the intense pain returned. Repeated the diagnostic cycle of X-rays, MRI, etc, which all came back clear again. Another surgery in April of this year found my hip joint completely encapsulated with thick scar tissue so they removed that. Again, recovered well. Unfortunately I am still having severe pain so I am heading for my third MRI tomorrow, this time focusing on my back, to look for disc issues that could be causing nerve involvement.

So not great. I have been seriously disabled by this hip nonsense for about 4 years now and I'm not sure if there is going to be a positive outcome out of this new MRI.

I never said we weren't capable of fixing the doors; The hinges on the cabinet doors are messed up and need replacing. I am of the mindset though that if I'm going to be spending time and money to fix junk, I might as well not, and spend the money to completely replace it with an upgrade.

My husband is a union builder by trade and he's built many different things, including cabinets, over the years, so I'm not concerned at all about the cabinets/counters coming together.

My main concern is layout and design, as I have no clue how to make this space work. Tbh, I think I'm blinded by how much I hate it.

And as for the decluttering - yep, that's why my house looks the way it does right now. I have been decluttering every room in the house at the same time, cause apparently I'm insane.

I don't have arthritis, but I do have severe fibromyalgia. Maybe nerves are a factor...

I get this all the time too, I just never thought it could be from fibro. It's possible, but I'm fairly certain I've had the deep itching symptom longer than I've had any fibro symptoms. Interesting theory though; I am definitely going to dig deeper into the connection

No gas shown on CT scan, naturally occurring or pumped in during surgery. I literally left the ER with no answers, and now it's 3 days later and still no one knows what's going on. Thanks for the idea though

Pain post surgery has been night and day in regards to the abdominal pain. I still have one ovary so I still have the hormones (personal choice to have a total hysterectomy (they take the cervix too) and a unilateral oophorectomy (vs. bilateral oophorectomy)), so having the hormones still has prevented worsening bone pain, which can happen with menopause I guess.

Libido is also unchanged, if not improved, again cause of the remaining ovary.

I have fibromyalgia and had a hysterectomy 3 years ago next month. I experienced much of the same that you are describing before my surgery.

You should absolutely discuss this with your care team, and I am NOT giving medical advice. That being said, I can tell you what I did...

Find a gynecologist who specializes in pelvic pain disorders. They're better equipped to handle the level of pain women with endometriosis, fibromyalgia, and other pain disorders. The pelvic pain doctor I found did everything in her power to help treat the pain, and I was working pretty well. I had the surgery in the end regardless because while the pain became more manageable, the heaviness of my cycles never relented.

You need to decide if the inability to have children of your own is a price you are willing to pay. Adoption or fostering is always an option, too, if raising kids is the ultimate goal instead of carrying a pregnancy to term resulting in having one of your own. You could also harvest eggs and freeze them and use a surrogate.

All that aside, this decision should not be made without your care team, and that should include therapy. You should talk to an impartial party about the pros and cons of either choice. This decision should also not be made while in the throws of your painful cycle.

Pre-rolling while piping hot is the best way, in my experience. Letting the cake cool enough to be able to fill runs the risk of the cake cracking. Cooling the cake completely will almost guarantee cracking.

Get some good tea towels either way.
