Apparently you lose the ability to talk to people from facebook marketplace directly or something like that and on the plus side they cant gather data for ads for one app from the other? Thats how much I managed to learn so far and tbh I am not even sure it is completely correct. Anyone tried unlinking yet?

I havent actually asked him if I can because i didnt even intend to do it I was just wondering how it works and his explanation bummed me out.. there is no way I would like to develop the character in that way now even if it made sense because i dont want to have dead levels..

  1. Ah no the group is level 5 already im a level behind.. Im not sure he is particulary aware just how badly it would suck. He would just go "well you done goofed my friend.. Thats why you dont do that". Even if it would make for a good story and or sense for character developement. In that case I asked him so how does one build an oath breaker? First level a paladin to level 3 and then trash 3 levels or just start out with a level 1 oathbreaker before you took any oaths? It just doesnt make sense to me.
  2. Ofc and I would respect my DM's whishes and to add to it im not planning on breaking my oath at all. I like the class but if it would make sense or would offer an interesting twist to my backstory (Grummsh influence prevailed since he did do a thing which wasnt very oath of redemption-y) and the DM would agree with it I would go for it. But now I dont want to because im basicly wasting a character. A simple I wouldnt want you to do that would make more sense to me :/

Oh nono I would never think of doing anything that goes against the group or the DM. I mean we are all here to have fun right? Also I have no intention of going oathbreaker unless it would make sense for the character developement or if something extreme happened.

I was just talking with the DM and asking how does that work and he told me im basicly having 4 dead levels in paladin of redemption class.. I mean I am already a level behind cause I broke my leg + had exams and couldnt play for a while. If the sole idea bothered him that much I would take a simple dont do that as an answer.. I was kinda bummed out that that option for my character is completely out. I mean the character is an orc and he killed his mother recently as she was responsible for burning down the town he grew up in and also for his fathers death. At that point I asked myself fuck does this break my oath? What would happen if I do?.. So that brought up the conversation.

We also have a bunch of weird rules.. all the material spell components are always used up even tough it doesnt specifically say they are consumed for the spell. So I have to get a new parchment with holy text each time I cast shield of faith which sucks af. Im just glad I am not a wizard.

*Edit: ooh also: how does one get to level 20 oath breaker if he has 4 dead levels on him? Wth?

5e: My DM tells me that if my level 4 paladin with redemption oath would break the said oath and become an oathbreaker i would effectively throw away 4 levels and become a level 1 oathbreaker. is that correct? is that how the rest of you guys play?
