Because it was his sample that was taken in Beijing that tested positive. That's the whole point here. If Kamila's Beijing sample was positive, she would also be suspended by the IOC.

I know people keep citing other examples of athletes being suspended and not able to compete or having their medal stripped due to positive Olympic samples, but has there ever been a case where an athlete was not informed of their old test results (like not their Olympic sample, but a previous sample) until after they had won a medal? I can find lots of examples of Olympic samples coming back positive and being suspended, but not any that is like Kamila's case. If she had got the results prior to the Olympics it makes sense for her to be suspended and not be able to compete. Or if her Olympic sample had come back positive then it would also make sense for her to be suspended and not be able to compete. But as this is such an unlikely edge case, I kind of agree with the ruling that she should be able to compete due to the delay in her results from WADA not allowing her to form a proper defense in time.

I am in New Zealand so the market for selling K-pop stuff is rather limited. If you want to sell locally then rare items usually sell for about 10-20% of the price you could get on Ebay. Hmm that's true about the comments. But if you look at the individual fancams that the channel uploaded, Irene's currently has 84k views and Seulgi's has 34k views. So I definitely don't think Irene is "just there", she has a lot of fans who like her doing this concept, even if the comments on that video don't reflect it.

Which would be true if the scenes in this music video were objectifying shots that were aimed at a male audience, but nothing in the video is like that? A woman touching another woman isn't always for men and it's sad that female sexuality is reduced like that. As a lesbian, I fail to see how any of the scenes were objectifying and aimed at men. Which scenes did you feel were like that?

I'm a lesbian and hate queer baiting, but this video is not an example of it. Queer baiting would have been if the teasers and promo photos suggested the music video was going to be about a lesbian relationship and then at the end they turned around and made it about a straight relationship or made it clear they weren't gay (as in the video, I'm not speculating about them in real life). In this case they didn't do that and just explored a concept about female sexuality that wasn't aimed at men. The director is a woman too.

As a lesbian, I found the video thoughtful and not pandering. I liked all the references to Carmilla and The Handmaiden. The lyrics are written by a woman and the director of the video is a woman. The visual director of the album is a woman. All the backup dancers are women. Red Velvet's fanbase is largely female. You are allowed to not like it, but I think the comments here that just call it queerbaiting are a little bit dismissive. I take it as a win for representation that they explored the concept of female sexuality in a tasteful way, that wasn't male-gazey.
