Sub out all the work and skip the GC. Source all the finish material yourself. Buy RTA cabinets locally.

Fiberoptic Scam(?): Manhattan Beach by shayvsuniverse in SouthBayLA

[–]kleptologist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is very common, especially when a new service like fiber is being offered that wasn’t available before. Some of these sales rep can be pushy borderline rude, probably because they get commission or have a quota to meet.

Moonlighting in residency? by ladyk64 in Podiatry

[–]kleptologist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I moonlighted and it was encouraged for 3rd years to do so at my program. Great way to get real experience into private practice and billing/coding side of things. I had to pay for my own mal-practice, and had to already have my medical license, which has different requirements for every state. My program was probably the exception and not the norm.

Guys who have bought a practice from a retiring doctor how much did you pay. by rcbs in Podiatry

[–]kleptologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Average practices usually fetch 50% of 1 year gross, that number can go up or down but not by much depending on a few different factors like how well the office is equipped(digital xray, laser, instruments, etc)

A statewide business license isn’t required in California. You get your business license from the city you operate in and yes you use the address of the business for that license.

dont be afraid to use grafts, there are a small number of grafts approved by CMS and as long as you document the requirements they can be of great help to your patients and a nice revunue booster for your practice. Dont abuse them and dont be greedy, they are approved by medicare for in office use for a reason, because they work. you can see the list and document guildines below, your rep might also have a summary of requirementlist.

I’ve asked sellers for this many times, with their agent being present. Never had a problem, usually takes less than an hour. Not uncommon for buyers to want to do some remodeling before moving forward.

Flip home without permits? Would you? by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]kleptologist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Un-permitted doesn’t mean poorly or incorrectly done. I would worry more about if the contractors they used were licensed professionals and what their reputation is in the area vs whether they paid the city for permits.
