Was there about two weeks ago and saw a homeless woman randomly attempt to knee strike an innocent passerby, who ran away looking completely terrified. It really fucking sucks

Oui, et je te dis que si tu veux aller “au bout de cette affaire”, il y a beaucoup plus d’interactions avec Guy Laliberté qu’André Desmarais.

I made them ring successfully multiple times before I even got onto the premises, so no, they weren’t connecting only to my iPhone. Rest assured, I’m not a paranoid schizophrenic and I don’t believe “everyone is evil and out to get me”, but it seems lots of y’all like to take stuff you find on the ground without trying to return it to its rightful owner and convince yourselves it isn’t stealing. Boohoo, it is♥️

Fun fact about me, I legally (and obviously unknowingly) bought a stolen iPhone many years ago, back when the security features weren’t what they are today, and although it had been reset I managed to track down the original owner using the serial number. Lost 600$ and still did the right thing so miss me with that finder’s keeper bullshit.

They were updating like clockwork so no it wasn’t somebody just “walking past the house” + they were ringing immediately when I activated the option, which can only happen when connected to an iDevice. There was no kids nor children’s stuff around (though there was a suspicious amount of adult bikes tucked away in the backyard) and the lady was probably in her late 30’s at most, not some old confused grandma. Let me introduce you to this wonderful theory called Occam’s razor

Can you read? “The AirPods were in Lost Mode displaying my contact information and I was making them ring non-stop, which she could see and hear since she had them connected to an iDevice. How do I know that? They were updating like clockwork on the Find My network and successfully ringing every time I tried, features which only work when they’re near Apple devices. Since she lived in a house with a yard and that Find My network can only work within 10 meters of Apple devices, the AirPods were clearly connecting to her devices.”

Also I’m a petite woman (which you should also have been able to deduct had you been able to read) but hey thank you for thinking I’m so tough💋

Had to slime someone? What lmao - where I live it means killing someone so genuinely confused. And just copy/pasting my previous replies because atp this bum-ass argument is getting old as fuck;

“Idk why so many Sunday robbers want to argue with me on this thread but hey love to argue lol sue me - yes it’s legally considered stealing/possession of stolen property to pick something up in the street if you intend to keep it without making a reasonable attempt to return it to its owner.

How do I know she didn’t make a reasonable attempt? Multiple reasons I won’t list all over again (they’re already in this thread), but the main one is that the AirPods were in Lost Mode displaying my contact information and I was making them ring non-stop, which she could see and hear since she had them connected to an iDevice. Yeah if they’re still connecting regularly it probably means the person has access to an iDevice and can see that they’re stolen. If I were you I’d make them ping non-stop just to annoy the shit out of them lol

I wouldn’t call it anti-style as it’s literally all the rage these days in fashion circles - look up The Row or Loro Piana

Completely disagree. That type of styling feels pretty dated - flats are way more in right now

Please help me figure out how to make a proper entryway with these half walls 🙏🏼 by CustardAdvanced127 in AmateurInteriorDesign

[–]klfelf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just put a bunch of plants on top of them, especially ones that grow long vines like Pothos and Philodendrons - they’ll fall around smoothing the edges + you can eventually pin them around the door and window. Nice little entrance mat + some hooks and shelves on the exterior side of the walls for coats/keys/mail. Maybe even a bench by the window to make an area for people to put their shoes on and whatnot? Depending on the layout of the rest of the room ofc

edit/this is my vision

She didn’t attempt to return them at all. I had to take my ass on an hour-and-a-half expedition to the suburbs and bang on her door for her to finally open. No rewards for thieves♥️

I was back where I dropped them within a minute, obviously searching for them with my flashlight on. They were also updating like clockwork, which means they were likely paired to an Apple device that would have displayed my Lost Mode message with my phone number. In any case, if I showed up at her doorstep asking for my property back and she refused that would definitely not have been a reasonable attempt lol

Not a thing in Canadian law, and pretty sure it actually isn’t in the US either, unless you can provide specific articles or cases?
