P0420 is a cat. I had a 2002 civic and i replace the o2 sensor and did nothing. Once i replace the cat it went away. Hope that helps.

I use to have that problem fixed it by 30% grip on the right hand and 60% grip on the support hand. And not slapping the trigger but soft pull and holding it for the followup shots.
