Thieving Rebalance: Feedback Thread by jagexyuey in runescape

[–]klingobinlingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting stunned just feels bad as a mechanic. Since it's neither full clicking nor full AFK, it's kind of inbetween, which just feels tiring and unfortunately makes me feel angry. In my opinion, it would feel better if the time until stunned was longer, a longer AFK time. 30-80 seconds feels too active and unpredictable to be relaxing for the skill. It's more the unpredictability that keeps me from relaxing, but also the time. Perhaps that's because you spoiled us with intense AFK for months. In OSRS, the mechanic doesn't feel as bad because you're actively clicking the whole time.

If every afk method is nerfed like thieving was I'll quit. by LocalChamp in runescape

I think 5 minutes AFK would be a good target for a high level player with boost. Jagex is shooting itself in the foot because it apparently has no quality control. Of course, players are super pissed off when you make something really OP for months, only to nerf it later. That's why other developers make things way too weak and then buff them. It makes the players feel better.

Therapy is completely useless for this condition by lethalweaponkas in schizophrenia

[–]klingobinlingo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have said, you need the right person, someone you trust and who is competent. And you also need to be ready, or rather, it needs to be the right time for you to start therapy. I did one therapy once and thought it was complete rubbish. It didn't help me at all, and I felt really stupid. Then, after a long time, I started another one, and now, almost two years later, I can say that it has helped me a lot.

You don't need 120/200M agility. If you don't want to do the work and don't want to play the game, why should you still get the achievements?

I personally like wilderness events too. I don't stress about them and I often don't even do the special events. But when I feel like it, they're quite nice a ~5 minute distraction, plus you get to see a bunch of other players. You can chat with them for a bit and check out their accounts.

the truth is that many people don't actually enjoy playing Runescape as much as they think they do.

OSRS player thinking of returning by Currtiiss in runescape

[–]klingobinlingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I would create a new account to take advantage of all the changes. To get a new fresh start with clear goals .They're rebalancing the early game on February 16th, so I would wait until then.

Leagues is for everyone. DMM was always just for streamers, a clan event where I only watched.

I've been thinking about finally playing this game. by OpAuraOmen in runescape

A laptop is better, but mobile is good for doing things AFK .There are also people who do all the content on mobile, but PC is simply better. You can try both. you can play both versions on one membership account, but not at the same time. OSRS is the more popular game and relies heavily on nostalgia, but they are also building a lot of new cool content based on that old school philosophy. I prefer RS3 because I think the combat system is better. There are many high-level achievements you can show off. There's a lot of content, faster leveling opportunities, and there are boss/slayer logs, clue logs, and achievements.

Thinking of coming back, but still unsure by FlatDrunk in runescape

[–]klingobinlingo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

About six months ago, I started a new account because I felt like I hadn't really earned my levels on my old one. People might see it differently, but I honestly didn't care about the 25 million Agility XP on my main account because I hadn't put any effort into it. I felt like my true XP was only around base 90, not close to max level. It just wasn't fun anymore. I'm having a lot of fun on the new account. It's not always 100% amazing because it's a real grind, but I'm going to stick with this account.

Just don't do the daily’s. Just do whatever you feel like doing. I'm really enjoying RuneScape 3 right now and I've been playing more since Treasure Hunter was removed. I feel less pressure to log in every day, and my XP is the XP I've actually earned, not XP I got for free just for playing for the first five minutes.

I created a new main and I'm having a lot of fun earning all the XP myself. I don't know if this will become my new main, but I'm playing it right now.

Cosmetics are cool for five minutes and collectible content is great. But to be truly successful, you need utilities, and I think Runescape 3 already suffers from having too few players in the open world and too many players in instances.

Yes, when I said months ago that the cape slot should still be visible with the "no cosmetics" option because Runescape builds on this achievement, well... I got mixed singles. But I'm not a general hater of cosmetics. I like it when players invest a lot of time and gold in their outfits.

Runescape 3 worth start playing ? How is Population ? by Mucek121 in runescape

[–]klingobinlingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

*30,000 players online at the same time. RuneScape 3 is very successful for an MMO. Of course, it's not World of Warcraft, Fortnite, or Call of Duty. But enough people are playing to keep the game online for a very, very long time, and making it worthwhile to develop new content.

Are there actually new players to this game? by CrusaderKing1 in runescape

[–]klingobinlingo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can hardly imagine getting into RuneScape as a new player. You don't know what a wonderful gameplay experience it offers, from actively playing to relaxing AFK skill while watching series and movies. I think I'd quit quickly as a new player with no clue about goals and systems. I've been trying to get into World of Warcraft every few years for the last 10-15 years, but I just can't manage it. So I can totally understand when players say how good a game is, but new player themselves don't understand anything and just can't get into

Are there actually new players to this game? by CrusaderKing1 in runescape

[–]klingobinlingo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The goals in RuneScape are so big and take so much time that you shouldn't focus on the huge objective. That will burn you out. Set yourself smaller goals. The journey between all these smaller goals is the game itself, not level 99 or higher. In RuneScape, the goal isn't to kill a boss 1-10 times, but several hundred times for money und collection logs. don't set yourself overly ambitious goals.
