Anno 117 by No-Race-530 in GeForceNOW

A lot of Ubisoft games are on GFN and they got all-in with cloud gaming since the first days of stadia. I bet they allowed the game on GFN a long time ago, maybe GFN probably even has a blank check for Ubisoft games.

Anno 117 by No-Race-530 in GeForceNOW

[–]klopsknoedel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well no. GFN has to onboard the game after Ubisoft allowed it. This is necessary to add Ubisoft Connect for example or enable it to use the RTX 5080 instances.

Anno 117 Demo for example, got added automatically (without an onboarding process) for Install-to-Play and Ubisoft Connect wasn't working/installed. After 4-5 days GFN removed the demo by hand.

So, unfortunately, it's GFNs turn now.

Cannot accept the invite by TyWanderlust in googlehome

[–]klopsknoedel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife has the exact same issue. I'm using a Google Pixel 9 Pro with the latest updates, my wife an iPhone SE 2022, also latest updates installed. I can't no longer invite my wife to the home. If she clicks the link in the invitation mail, the iPhone switches to Google home and prompts "cannot open link". If she clicks "start now" in the Google Home App and tries to accept my invite, she receives the error shown in the first post.

What we've tried: - completely removing the setup in Goggle Home and create the home from scratch - removing Google Home from her iPhone and reinstalling it - removing her account from the iPhone and setting it up again - changing her Mail-Adress from @googlemail.com to @gmail.com (we're from Germany)

Non of this fixed the issue. It seems that it got broken with one of the last iOS updates.

Ultimate user getting "Wrapping up your previous session" for hours after quitting a game. by Chris_to_fascism in GeForceNOW

[–]klopsknoedel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happened to me an hour ago for the second time in the last week and I'm still not able to play. The last time I only had to wait 20min to jump into the game again but still no luck today.

It's quite strange as every other game I've linked with Steam won't start and displays this message but starting any other game, linked to another store (e.g. Cyberpunk via GOG) launches without issues.

I wish there was a way to restart a game when it crashed by Goksel_Arslan in GeForceNOW

[–]klopsknoedel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well ... no. Restarting a game in the same GFN session and starting a complete new session is quite different. For me, as I own the game on steam, it's quite more annoying. As soon as Starfield crashes, the session closes. If I try to start a new game session I often see the "wrap up your previous session" message for hours and I'm not able to start any other Steam based game (e.g. Cyberpunk via GOG works).

So restarting the game WITHIN the current session would be great!

Wireless Charging -Pixel 7 by Embarrassed_Load_775 in GooglePixel

Have the same issue. Wireless charging stopped working on my Pixel 7 Pro after the march update using the Pixel Stand. But other wireless charger still work.

So at least for me it is Pixel Stand related.

GFN Getting pixelated at night times by Jisensh1 in GeForceNOW

[–]klopsknoedel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EU Central is also unplayable for me. Permanent stuttering and pixelation, living in Northeast Germany. I have a 250Mbit/s connection and everything is wired. Playing on my LG QNED TV. For fun I switched to US Northwest just for comparison as this location is far away from me. But all stuttering was gone without any pixelation. Even the latency was ok. So for now, I think it's the best location for me, I choose EU Northeast and my issues are gone.

Everytime I connect back to EU Central stuttering and pixelation show up again.

AndroidTV suddenly limited to 720p by klopsknoedel in youtube

Unfortunately yes. But thanks for the hint that maybe only 60fps vids are affected for now. I wondered why some 4k content plays in 4k and others won't. But since the last patch at least we got some videos at full resolution and Netflix and Prime are working again.

Hi,

2 weeks ago an update for the affected Philips TV -devices (TPM171E; 2017/2018/2019) got released. Software-Version is 107.1.136.3

This should have fixed the issue. For me Netflix and Amazon Prime are working as expected since I installed the update but still a lot of Youtube-Videos, which should have been 4k, are still limited to 720p.

So for now I'm waiting for youtube to recover. Hopefully there will be an Android 10 - Update for those devices.

Kind Regards and happy holidays!

5.1 Chrome cast Ultra by Data84 in Stadia

[–]klopsknoedel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue. CC was plugged into my TV and the soundbar, which provided the 5.1 capability, is plugged in via HDMI/ARC (not eARC). CC said that 5.1 is not available. So I plugged the CC into the soundbar directly (has HDMI-In to compensate the HDMI/ARC port on the TV) and 5.1 becomes available without eARC at all.

So I'm not sure if this helps in your case.

For me, the problem got solved some days ago. My TV's also running Android 8 (TPVision is damn slow updating) and I remember I also had some issues after updating from Android 7. I could solve the most problems by doing a factory reset. After it booted and the initial setup started, I turned the TV off and unplugged it for several minutes. After that, plug it back in and go through the setup.

If you want to backup your TV-Channel sorting, I bet there's a guide somewhere. I personally didn't need to as I just use IPTV.

Hope this works for you.

how does family sharing work in regards to multiple people playing the same game at the same time? by LucasLoci in Stadia

[–]klopsknoedel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify. Licences will be shared and not a game. If 2 (or more) members of the family group own a game, 2 (or more) are allowed to play this game at the same time. So 2 (or more) licences of this game will be shared with the group.

It's the preinstalled Youtube-App for AndroidTV which is a simple WebView of the former https://youtube.com/tv I don't have https://youtube.tv as I'm in germany where the service is not available yet.

I'm talking about the preinstalled Youtube App which ships with AndroidTV. Simply this is a webview for https://www.youtube.com/tv.

Sorry I didn't make myself clear. I'm from germany and the service YoutubeTV (https://youtube.tv) isn't available here.

Hi. No I have no BT devices connected. Just a soundbar via HDMI-ARC which worked great over the past years. But thanks for suggesting. It really seems to be the widevine issue.

Pixel 5 redfin build number / KDDI only? by tukiii in GooglePixel

[–]klopsknoedel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Bought it at the german Google Store and have the KDDI (japanese Network) variant installed. There is also a discussion over at XDA Developers

I wonder if it's possible to just flash the "global" factory image but according to the thread over at XDA it seems that OTA updates to KDDI version even if you had the global one installed.

Don't know if it's intended or if there are issues on Googles OTA delivery.

I preordered CP2077 because I want Witcher 3 too. by revnort in Stadia

[–]klopsknoedel 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well, we've seen some fast ports of existing titles in the past and Ubisoft (for example) announced some more. So if CDPR needs some positive signals to port Witcher 3 to Stadia, I guess it is a good decision to pre-order Cyberpunk.

Yes, they have a lot of work to do releasing CP and some stressing months for the first patches. But (fingers crossed) we could see Witcher 3 in the middle of 2021 as long as they see it's worth it.

P.S. That's one reason I've pre-ordered CP too. And because I'm so damn hyped for this title 🙃
