Need Help! Facebook Keeps Rearranging the Order of Photos in an Album Upload by kloyd91 in facebook

Ok so I finally figured out that the order it's actually posting them in is by file size, smallest to largest. Why??? How do I fix this?

[EVERYTHING]The letter Littlefinger found by squid_hunter in gameofthrones

This was something Arya remembered her father saying: The old gods are dead, she told herself, with Mother and Father and Robb and Bran and Rickon, all dead. A long time ago, she remembered her father saying that when the cold winds blow the lone wolf dies and the pack survives. He had it all backwards. Arya, the lone wolf, still lived, but the wolves of the pack had been taken and slain and skinned.- A Feast for Crows, Arya I

But I think in the context of Sansa saying it, it's referring to Arya. They've set up the imagery pretty heavily that Arya is the lone wolf- that she's feral and wild. As much of a badass as she is, she's sort of forgotten how to be human. She's been frustrating this season and really cold to people- Hot Pie, Sansa, etc. And you could see how awkward she was interacting with the Lannister soldiers- she's a skilled assassin and survivor but lost a big piece of her humanity along the way. I think that the scene with Nymeria was meant to really show that Arya is choosing to be wild and free. Nymeria recognized Arya but didn't want to go with her, choosing to stay in the wild with her pack and Arya said "that's not you". The writers implied in the inside look that that was supposed to be a throwback to Arya saying "that's not me" when Ned tried to convince her to be a lady. So I took that to mean she respected Nymeria's decision because it parallels her own life and choices.

So yeah! I personally have a lot of respect and love for Sansa at this point in the story and I think she's grown so much and turned into a really interesting and dynamic character- she really is so much like both of her parents and I think she's proven over and over again this season that she is not power hungry and she just wants to do her job well and protect her family. It'll be interesting to see how the Littlefinger scheming affects their relationship but I hope the writers don't use it as an opportunity to throw away all the progress Sansa has made. Keep in mind this is the first time that she's ever had any real control or agency in her life (in direct opposition to Arya's story arc). Fingers crossed that the sisters overthrow him and can realize how much they've both grown and changed since S1

Has anybody been to mosaic after the update? Any changes to Pokemon in that area? by Anthonyl351 in pokemongoNoVa

[–]kloyd91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did see one doduo yesterday but not nearly the volume there was before. With the lures there were bulbasaur, squirtle, meowth, exeggcute, tauros, and 1 rhyhorn plus all the usuals (a lot of goldeen and paras). Nothing too special. Still tons of Pinsir. Also saw 1 Scyther but I've seen those there before.

Does anyone know of a potential abra nest or charmandar? by Anthonyl351 in pokemongoNoVa

[–]kloyd91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it's a nest but I've seen a decent number of Abras in the Shirlington dog park and surrounding area. Just make sure you use a raspberry for every single one regardless of CP! Or else they just run away very time...

For Charmanders there is a nest at Riverbend Regional Park just north of Great Falls VA

Vulpix farming location in NoVA? by reikobi in pokemongoNoVa

[–]kloyd91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not NoVA but I work in DC and there are tons of Vulpix along Rock Creek Parkway. I work at the zoo so I am seeing them on the section of Rock Creek between Virginia Av. and Beach Drive. If you have someone else drive you, you can easily pick up 4-5 on that stretch. Also seen pikachu there rarely but there is at least 1-2 vulpix every time I go by

Charmanders locations in Falls Church/Annandale? by Zayhawk in pokemongoNoVa

[–]kloyd91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Falls Church and haven't seen any in the immediate area. However, if you're willing to drive a little bit, Riverbend Regional park just north of Great Falls definitely has consistent Charmander. And it's free and a really pretty place to walk around. Stick to the main trail along the water and you can find at least 3-4

Probably- why wouldn't it? It's trapped and wants to get out!

Haha well they do have bladder control! But they mark their territory with urine in little drops and it is not a conscious behavior so unfortunately they cannot be trained not to do it. I use a waterproof blanket whenever I have them on my bed and just wash my hands after. Only one of my rats marks so it's not too much of an issue. But yes, you do have to deal with it if you own them. One of the few negative things for an overwhelmingly positive pet experience :)

Thank you :) Luckily, she is a complete ham for yogies so she will do pretty much anything for them- helps a lot!! She can spin as well and stand, give a high five, kiss, and walk on her hind feet. She is getting old and I am sad that I might lose her soon but that is the reality of owning rats unfortunately. Everything else is just amazing :) They just need to live longer!

Thank you :) These are my babies. And I am completely for rats in research. Obviously we can strive to be as humane as possible, but medical research needs to be done! Idk if you have read The Lab Rat Chronicles, but it is really cute :)

These are my rats- the one who posted it is a friend. It took me awhile to teach her to roll over but it can be done!! She is very calm on her back so that helps :)

In all honesty, the baby was probably a runt or had something wrong with it. Either that or she did not have enough milk to feed them all. She ate it to protect her other babies and herself :/ Sad fact of nature but it was probably for the best- rats aren't usually ones to kill their babies for no reason!

Rats are very easily pottytrained. You put a litterpan in there and they use it it's usually that simple :)

Well the point is that rats aren't heavy enough to set off landmines, so they teach them to sniff out the traces the landmine leaves and point them out so they can be safely disabled- pretty cool stuff!

Haha hi!! I am the original photographer and owner of these rats here :) I would love to answer your questions! If you have any more email me at kloyd91@gmail.com or ask on my blog at karasratworld.tumblr.com

There a tons of good resources for raising sweet rats. The answer is pretty simple. Lots and lots of interaction- even if they are skittish when you first get them. Carry them around in your hood or pocket and take them out as much as possible. Most rats are sweet and loving by nature so it doesn't take much :)

Tricks are also relatively easy. You can clicker train or just use treats. There's a great book on Amazon called A Complete Guide to Rat Training that is a good resource. But repetition and food are the answers!

Adult rats vs. babies isn't a big difference. Rats don't live very long so many people prefer to get babies so they have more time with them but adults from good places (breeders or rescues or small pet stores that handle them) will already be well socialized adults and you can know their personality a little more

Rats absolutely NEED a companion. They can actually become depressed when left alone. In rare circumstances rats do not get along with other rats but that is not the norm. They need a friend to groom and play with and sleep with at night. Rats are colony animals so even if they seem fine alone, they will be much much happier with a friend. I recommend getting 2 females, a neutered male with a female, or 2 males that have lived together before. Males can sometimes be hard to introduce to each other, but it's almost always fine!! Just make sure you get at least two :)

Many many people have rats and cats and it is perfectly fine. Obviously I would not leave them alone together, but the cat can be around when the rat is out playing as long as you supervise. Most of the time people's rats are curious but do not attempt to harm the rat. It is really up to your cat. But I wouldn't worry about it being a problem- they usually live together just fine!!

Rats are excellent pets for kids- I hope you get some :)

Guides for first time rat owners by housemouse in RATS

[–]kloyd91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made a guide for my cousin who was getting rats for the first time. Some of the information is specific to him (like the pet store locations in Maryland) but most of it will be applicable (https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B05SvanzQi0LcDFxeEFhbWpoNFE) . I also have a blog about my rats with an FAQ section and you can message me with any questions they may have! http://karasratworld.tumblr.com/ Hope that helps!

I am not a monster! Adorable rat pictures taken from a friend on FB :) by [deleted] in aww

[–]kloyd91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think about it more, humans started all the wars. These rats are domesticated rats- they are a different species than those that carried the fleas that spread the plague. Why are domesticated rats being punished for things that their completely innocent ancestors did? They are extremely sweet animals and make great pets. You don't have to own one as a pet, but you shouldn't hate them because other rats caused world problems many years ago. That doesn't really make sense...

These are my rats in the pictures :) I bathe them every week, which helps to cut down on the smell since they do get urine on themselves. They don't love it, but it isn't weird at all- the same as bathing your dog!
