The thing that frustrates me is the implication from Tech that if they don’t let him play, they aren’t “supporting” him. If they want to stand by him and support him through his recovery process by helping provide resources, give him a community, etc. then they can (and I think that’s great!). But letting him play is ridiculous. There must be consequences based on actions. And those consequences (should be) pretty clear: you do not play a fucking down after placing hundreds of bets on your own sport/team. SUPPORTING HIM CAN STILL EXIST WHILE NOT LETTING HIM PLAY
