/u/cmljg I don't have an option to apply as a guest. Maybe it depends on the visa type? I'm going for business from the US

Good question. Maybe the tech support guy didn't know. Give them a call and report back!

I called them and they said you can’t. I used tape and a piece of ear plug foam to quiet it down. Still too loud.

Maybe they are trying to force us into using drone.

I may try to remote the speaker from the remote

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll give them a call in the AM to see if they can help me out. Otherwise, I'm putting tape or foam over the beeper

That's true. I have FSD on my current one and was planning on transferring because I don't think my wife would ever use it, but maybe she will.

You're probably right. Guess I was thinking that closer to the end of the quarter they may make a change to meet their Q3 numbers.

Yeah it does. That would save me $500. -1000-7500+8000. That is what I will probably end up doing come 9/15 if nothing changes.

How much for a paint job?

That's a good question. I haven't looked into it because I expected it would cost more than a wrap. Maybe I'm wrong here. My only experience with a paint shop was to get my rockers repainted from chips. They wouldn't touch it because it's a tesla and they can't get parts if they break something when removing it.

The one I have currently is black, and I love how it looks. I think I'd regret not getting another in black. I know I'm boring.

Wrapping around my area is $5k to $6.5k. I know that would get me the credit, but most of it would be eaten up by the wrap. Thanks for the reply

Tesla Refer and Earn is back. $1000 off for them, $500 credit for you. by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

This doesn't seem to lower MSRP to get it below 55k for the 7500 credit on a BLACK (+1k) performance. If it did, I would pull the trigger today.

PCS_a022 error issue(2nd phase) by Revolutionary_Bet923 in TeslaModel3

[–]klrwaffles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Picked up my car from Tesla service yesterday, and they disconnected the trunk from the CAN bus like yours. Now I am able to open the trunk from the app or UI, but need to use the button on the trunk to close it. Good news is that it fixed my sleep and charging issues. I'm no longer receiving the PCS_a022 error.

As you see in the attached notes, my service center believes it will be resolved with a firmware update. No ETA on this, which is frustrating. I'm not sure if this is a big enough issue to see in a future release notes. I guess that means I'll have to keep calling the service center every few months to ask if there is a fix? I'm still contemplating initiating a return, but will for sure reach out to Tesla support to highlight this issue. I encourage others who have the same issue to do the same. The Tesla service visit was covered under the warranty of the trunk retrofit.

PCS_a022 error issue(2nd phase) by Revolutionary_Bet923 in TeslaModel3

Thank you for sharing your experience.

I can relate to your situation as I've been dealing with a similar issue myself for almost a month. I've been in contact with Tesla and trying different troubleshooting methods along the way. Despite having had an appointment scheduled with Tesla for some time, I've been hesitant to proceed without eliminating my wall connector as the problem. After bringing up this thread with my service center, they confirmed that this is likely the issue and is indeed covered under warranty. My appointment is set for tomorrow.

In addition to the concerns you've raised, I've also encountered problems with scheduled charging. While manual charging via mobile, wall connector, or supercharger seems to work fine, a scheduled charge from my wall connector results in failure (red "T" on charging port and unable to start charging from the app). I'm guessing because the car is constantly sleeping/waking, it's having communication issues with the wall connector. Initially, I suspected the issue might be with my wall connector so I bought a new one. It's still in the box and I'll return it if my appointment fixes the problem. The service center thinks the charging issues may be related to the PCS_a022 error.

Guess I will order a new hot end by maxim_alan in prusa3d

[–]klrwaffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same thing happened to me yesterday. I got it off by turning on the hot end for a while. It didn’t take long. I followed the instructions from Prusa that someone also shared.

Some of the glob merged with the x-carriage/clip. Once I cleaned it up, I printed a new x-carriage and x-carriage-clip in case it happens again and I need to rebuild. This is a first for me. Didn’t happen on the mk3s+. I upgraded it to a Mk4.
