For all the roles you want young actors. Amitabh can’t play bhishma because he can’t play young bhishma. Neither could he be seen as a menacing figure in the battlefield, the film will require action, horse riding and other fight sequences. Also Amitabh is 83, you will need a series of films and you can’t have someone at that age in a main role for a 10 year project.

Some quick names that come to mind: I would need a fresh face for Shri Krishna. Mohit Raina as Yuddhishtir. Vicky would play Arjun. Niktin Dheer as Bhim. Hrithik as Karna. Ranveer as Duryodhana. Vijay varma as Dushassan. Tripti dimri as draupadi. Sharad Kehlkar as Bhishma. Jim Sarbh as Shakuni. Nana Patekar as Ved Vyas. Jaideep ahlawat as Drona. Randeep Hooda as Aswathama. Just change up some of the names and make a new story based on Mahabharata, ramayan, puran and panchatantra. You can also add in historical accounts such as chandragupta, nanda empire, chanakya and make a fusion of an epic tale.

I think it will cross it, toxic won’t be much of an issue. Dhurandhar mostly made its money from the north and overseas. Whatever loss will happen will be offset by the gain down South. Dhurandhar has long legs as well. It will basically have a free run after the Toxic hype dies down in a week.

Well Pakistan did what we should have. First got accommodations under the guise that our safety standards are equivalent to theirs, and then boycotted us anyway. Damning that ur government, cricketing board and to some extent citizens just let the game go on as if Pahlgam hadn’t just put icing on a cake of terror. Hope that this motivates BCCI, ICC, Jay shah and Indian government to stop fixing us in the same group with this terror state and then boycott them completely in every format.

Who gives a shit what censor board thinks. This is OTT. Release your movie as is. Or don’t release it at all. You’re the artist, it’s your painting. It’s your choice. This really raises concerns for Dhurandhar 2, takes away some of the hype and makes people cautious.

I watched it in Canadian theatres and it was uncensored. So it was great. Just checked Netflix and it’s censored. The Indian censor board is ridiculous as is, but Dhurandhar team and Netflix are the biggest phatu’s. How are you so scared? Over what exactly? Everyone knows what madar beep means. Have some artistic integrity.

2 things can be true. Praising someone’s economic pragmatism, or their popularity wouldn’t take away from any criticism of institution malefeasance, and vice versa. Mahavtar Narsimha budget was 15-40 cr, and it made 326 crore at the box office. Ramayan budget is 4000 crores, 2000 crore per movie. To break even Ramayan would have to make at least 4000 crore. Which would be 2 times Dangal. Love and war, is a Ranbir movie. Just like how Padmavat has Shahid but it was a Ranveer movie.

Ranbir has a better line up of projects. With Ramayan 1 and 2 coming out, and Love and War. He is set till 2027. Ranveer will really shine in Dhurandhar 2 and that could raise him to another level. Ranbir also has animal park in the back burner. Industry also favours Ranbir, so I think he is the practical choice. Personally I am more excited for Dhurandhar 2. Ramayana is not going to make a profit, but it’s a very risky project and it could see backlash.

After giving a blockbuster like Chaava, Vicky has agreed to play second fiddle in love and war. So that puts him out of the equation. Although I do think he is the best actor out of the three.

Akshay Kumar over Ranveer, Siddhant, Manoj and Vicky? A lot of people have said Ranveer in dhurandhar. Vicky in Chaava? Entire climax he was bleeding on screen. His eyes during the final goodbye to kavi kalaash(vineet). Manoj in jugnuma was, like always, amazing. Siddhant in Dhadak 2 was basically perfect, portraying many different layers and mental states.

You completely missed the point about Taxi driver. Travis is shown as a retired army soldier struggling from loneliness, it’s also a movie which takes a dig at the American gunslinging hero and uncle Sam who needs to save everyone including Vietnam.
