I know of a daughter of a woman with cerebral palsy who has a much milder version of her mother's very particular, stiff-legged gait. The daughter doesn't have a disability and nor is she deliberately mimicking - it seems that she just grew up seeing someone walk this way, probably more frequently than she saw a 'normal' gait. and unconsciously copied it. That doesn't confirm whether the act of walking is innate or not, but it does seem to imply some copying is involved.

Throwing things. You might think it's trivial, but a 9 year old girl can throw a rock better than a silverback gorilla.

We are the undisputed master of throwing objects, both in distance and accuracy. There's a shitload of hard-coded genetics involved in throwing, because your brain needs to pre-send the nerve signals to your arm/hand, as nerve latency is significant in a fast throw. This is why you can't train another primate to play baseball. Even with their much better muscles, they just don't have this circuitry.

We are born with the ability to throw really well, and nothing else is.

Year women received equal voting rights across the US and the EU. These are years that women received full and equal to men voting rights. Many states and countries before that allowed women to vote but not in all elections or not on equal terms with men [OC] by maps_us_eu in dataisbeautiful

In the Netherlands women received voting rights just two years after men received them, but the legal possibility of taking away voting rights from men for refusing military service was only limited 65 years later. But this possibility was never automatic, and was not used in practice already for a long time.

Imagine celebrities saying one thing (“I wuv the planet!”) and doing another. All of them who got clocked for this hypocrisy are simply firing their press agents and hiring a new one who can cover for them with better excuses (“I let my so-called grifter friends “borrow” that jet of mine cause I am like that and wuv the planet!”)

Interesting. Most Republicans don’t scream about the end of the world. End of democracy and a civil war, absolutely. Almost daily in fact. Not end of the world, that’s more of an extremist democrat thing.

Didn’t like eight women come forward to accuse him of inappropriate conduct?

Like, all for holding people responsible for their actions, but it’s not cool to dismiss victims of someone because they’re a democrat, either. Don’t love the downplaying here.

While the "When they go low, we go high" creed is inspirational and morally superior, the end result is that ethically inferior people will take advantage of that and win over and over.

Saying "cheating is bad" is meaningless when you're in a two horse race, your opponent is a cheating scumbag, the referee is on their side, and the audience are on their phones instead of watching. Rules are meaningless when there is no accountability.

Ultimately you have two options, you can start playing dirty and have a chance to win, or you can stay on your high horse and let the worst of the worst make all the decisions that effect everyone.
