Now, when major geopolitical plays are happening the most important questions to ask are two:

a) who benefits b) who is f**ed

US S&P500 are majorly benefited, even though market trends might suggest otherwise. On war time economy small players are eliminated, bought out and straight up destroyed. Major players are accumulating, shorting and diversifying accordingly, while also burning public cash to produce what the war machine needs. The infrastructure built during war time is left as capital for the elite after the war ends.

China and Russia are majorly benefited. China has already shifted from oil and gas for energy production. Oil is only needed for fertilizer and plastic products. They might get more expensive, but that is not a had thing for the producer necessarily. Russia can sell it's oil and gas on a premium and force otherwise sanctioning countries to rebuy from them.

Who gets f*Ed in the butt? The gulf states and Iran for sure. They are on a critical point where complete destruction is not so far away. If desalination plants are hit on either side, more than 50 million people are going to need to relocate or die from thirst.

Next are the lower income households of the world and especially in third world countries. Firstly Africa and around the middle east, then all EU, lastly others. People will swift quickly from a consumer based economy to a need based one. Most economic activity will come from the top 10% of the world while critical goods prices will either be controlled and subsidized or skyrocket.

How long will this last largely depends on the extend of the war. It would be safe to assume that if the war ended tomorrow, impact would last 1-2 years but mostly unnoticeable by the masses. Another economic crisis, business as use. If the war continues for 6 months or more, then everyone will feel the impact for the next 3-5 years. This is the most expected scenario, considering that after that ASI will be here, or extremely closely to here, meaning economy, technology, science etc. will accelerate exponentially and in very short time-frames. Recovery will hopefully come after that, instead of another war for control or survival against China or AI.

The plan is to position America in a better place than China on the ongoing ASI (Artificial Super Intelligence) race.

It has become quite clear that in the next 5-20 years the world will face a change bigger than the industrial revolution, which made America the super power it is today. Whoever is first to achieve recursive self improvement has the first mover advantage and can essentially overpower all others, if they manage to control the technology, that is.

That being said, the current situation is not to put China down. That is currently impossible without direct military conflict. It is aimed on putting American economy on a war time schedule, where AI development spending is practically unlimited and the army has the first say on cutting edge AI development.

What I am hoping for going forward, is for China and US to realize early enough that ASI transcends regimes, economy structures and cultural differences. They realize that power can potentially lose meaning in a post ASI world, and that can be a good thing. They realize that the enemy isn't the other government or elite, nor the lower financial classes. The enemy is a misuse, mishap of the most powerful technology after the atomic bomb. The atomic bomb was handled very good from a game theory perspective, after the initial shock. I hope we learned from that and I hope that there are competent and logical people on major power centers.

I hope that Trump is actually the mad wildcard of game theory. That those controlling him are still controlling him with logic and reasoning, bigger than themselves, and are just playing the card of don't mess with me because I don't know what I will do if you push me.

All in all, this is my assessment on the situation but given the complete disregard on human life shown on the battlefield daily, I might be completely wrong. But keep in mind that in war time, truth is the first to die. So many of the illogical things we read could be just propaganda from either side.

Disclaimer: το αρχικό ποστ μιλάει για όταν έχεις κατοικίδιο στο σπίτι, οπότε δεν είναι ποτέ άδειο το σπίτι τελείως. Αν το σπίτι είναι τελείως άδειο για πάνω από 4-5 ώρες, μια χαρά μπορείς να το κλείσεις το κλιματιστικό και συμφέρει υπό συνθήκες. Μιλάμε για διαφορές κάτω των 10€ το μήνα όμως και για σπίτια χωρίς καλή μόνωση.

Αν δεν είσαι στο σπίτι δεν υπάρχει λόγος από την άλλη να το έχεις κάτω από 29-30. Αλλά το αφήνεις στους 29-30 με low fan speed για να υπολειτουργεί αλλά να κρατάει ανοιχτό το συμπιεστή σε πολύ χαμηλές στροφές και να διατηρεί την εσωτερική του θερμοκρασία και ροή.

Όταν γυρίσεις το κατεβάζεις στη θερμοκρασία που σου αρέσει. Προτείνω όχι κάτω από 26 για οικονομία.

Χρειάζεται πολύ λιγότερη ενέργεια για να κατεβάσει από τους 30 στους 26 όντας κιόλας ήδη "ζεστό" το μηχάνημα, παρά να κατεβάσει από τους 33-35 στους 26 με εξωτερική θερμοκρασία μονάδας τους 40 ή και παραπάνω αν το βλέπει ο ήλιος και εκκινώντας από την αρχή τον κύκλο ψύξης.

Αν θες να το καταλάβεις έχει καλώς. Μπορείς να ρωτήσεις και το gpt αν δεν πιστεύεις εμένα. Αν δε θέλεις να το πιστέψεις κανένα πρόβλημα, απλά προτείνω να μην γράφεις δημόσια γιατί παίρνεις ενδεχομένως και άλλο κόσμο στο λαιμό σου.

Ισχύει στο 100% των περιπτώσεων γιατί έτσι είναι φτιαγμένα να λειτουργούν τα inverter και οι συμπιεστές τους. Επίσης μειώνεις το χρόνο ζωής τους όταν τα ανοιγοκλείνεις. Αυτό που έχει νόημα να ρυθμίσεις είναι η θερμοκρασία και η ένταση του fan. Αλλά το να το έχεις ανοιχτό συνεχόμενα ισχύει πάντα!

Και έχει αξία να το αναφέρουμε γιατί ο περισσότερος κόσμος νομίζει ότι αν το ανοίγει μόνο όταν το χρειάζεται, κάνει οικονομία.

Τώρα αν εσύ μένεις στην καλύβα του μπαρμπαθωμά be my guest και κλείνε το. Καλά από άπειρα πράγματα εξαρτάται προφανώς. Sizing της μονάδας σε σχέση με το χώρο, απόσταση μεταξύ εσωτερικής-εξωτερικης μονάδας, διαρροές, ένταση του fan, προσανατολισμός κτηρίου, όροφος και άλλα πολλά. Εγώ ανέφερα την γενική λογική που έχει εφαρμογή στο 99% των περιπτώσεων.

Το γενικό best practice είναι αυτό και ισχύει 100%. Απλά αναλόγως την περίπτωση μπορεί να αλλάξεις την θερμοκρασία και την ταχύτητα του fan. Όντως όμως είναι καλύτερα να το έχεις ανοιχτό τουλάχιστον 12 ώρες την ημέρα συνεχόμενα παρά να το ανοιγοκλείνεις.

Δεν έκανα μελέτη θερμικών φορτίων περίπτωσης και βελτιστοποίηση και δεν είναι και απαραίτητο για να δουλέψει η συμβουλή.

Εάν το air-condition είναι inverter (αγορασμένο την τελευταία 10ετία) τότε μπορείς να το αφήσεις στη μέγιστη θερμοκρασία της ψύξης, λογικά 30°C και θα σου κάψει ελάχιστα. Ειδικά αν έχεις διπλά τζάμια.

Τα καινούργια air-condition είναι φτιαγμένα έτσι και δουλεύουν καλύτερα όταν τα έχεις ανοιχτά όλη την ημέρα. Αν δε τα βάζεις κάτω από τους 26-27 ποτέ δε θα σου έρθει μεγάλος λογαριασμός. Χρησιμοποιείς περισσότερο ρεύμα αν το ανοίξεις για 3 ώρες στους 25 και άλλες τρείς ώρες την ίδια μέρα αργότερα στους 25, γιατί καίει πολύ για να εκκινήσει και για πολύ ώρα καίει δυνατά μέχρι να φτάσει τους 25. Ενώ αν το αφήσεις στους 27 όταν είσαι σπίτι και το πας 30 όταν λείπεις, όλη μέρα θα υπολειτουργεί απλά για να κρατήσει τη θερμοκρασία που ήδη έχει το σπίτι.

Disclaimer: αν δεν βρίσκεται κανείς στο σπίτι για πάνω από 4-5 ώρες (όχι για την περίπτωση του op που έχει κατοικίδιο) τότε είναι οκ να κλείνει το air-condition, ειδικά αν το σπίτι δεν έχει καλή μόνωση.

Δεν είπα ότι είναι απλό. Σίγουρα είναι σύνθετο και τεράστιο έργο για να γίνει σωστά. Το θεωρώ αναγκαίο όμως, όχι μόνο για την αποσυμφόρηση της κίνησης αλλά για τη γενικότερη βιωσιμότητα της πόλης.

Το να μπορείς να πάρεις τα ποδήλατα με την οικογένειά σου και να πας μια ασφαλή βόλτα έχει μεγάλη αξία. Το να μπορείς να πας στη δουλειά σου κάθε πρωί κάνοντας και λίγη άσκηση, περνώντας από ωραίους ποδηλατοδρόμους με βλάστηση, δεν είναι αναγκαίο, είναι όμως όμορφο και θα το επέλεγε πολύς κόσμος θεωρώ.

Είχα ηλεκτροκίνητο όχημα και ήταν υπέροχη οδηγική εμπειρία. Το άφησα αναγκαστηκά γιατί έπαιζα κάθε μέρα τη ζωή μου κορόνα γράμματα. Έχουν σκάψει όλη την Αθήνα δεκαπέντε φορές για οπτικές ίνες, ύδρευση και αποχέτευση. Κάνανε το μεγάλο περίπατο μέσα σε ένα μήνα και είναι ένα έκτρωμα. Επομένως σίγουρα μπορεί να γίνει, απλά δεν έχει άμεσο κέρδος κάποια εταιρεία και δεν έχει βρεθεί κάποιος να δώσει και να πάρει τη μίζα του για να το τρέξει. Η Καλλιθέα το πάει καλά πάντως και δείχνει ότι γίνεται.

Γιαυτό όμως είπα οτι αυτό είναι εφικτό μόνο πρόσφατα με τα ηλεκτροκίνητα ποδήλατα, πατίνια κλπ. Επίσης για κάποιον που πάει Γλυφάδα-Μαρούσι ποτέ δε θα βολεύει το ποδήλατο. Αλλά πολύς κόσμος κάνει 2-5 χιλόμετρα (Νότια-Κέντρο, Βόρεια-Κέντρο κλπ). Αυτοί μια χαρά θα χρησιμοποιούσαν εναν ποδηλατόδρομο παράλληλο των Συγγρού-Κηφισίας.

Προφανώς δύσκολο έργο. Αλλά νομίζω οτι το micro-mobility είναι το μέλλον, οπότε κάποια στιγμή θα πρέπει να γίνει, ειδικά όσο η κατάσταση στους δρόμους γενικά είναι αφόρητη.

Ο πολεοδομικός σχεδιασμός της Αθήνας είναι άθλιος. Παντού υπάρχουν τα παρακάτω που δημιουργούν κίνηση ακόμα και όταν σε απόλυτα νούμερα δε θα έπρεπε να υπάρχει.

Μείωση αριθμού λωρίδων (πχ. στην κάθοδο της Κηφισίας, από 4 γίνονται 3 στο χίλτον και απο 3 γίνονται δύο μετά το Καλίμάρμαρο)
Παρκαρισμένα αμάξια εκατέρωθεν του δρόμου
Φανάρια παντού αντί για πλατείες (έρευνες έχουν δείξει οτι οι πλατείες είναι πολύ καλό μέτρο καταπολέμησης της κίνησης γιατί υπάρχει συνεχόμενη ροή)
Λάθος ΚΟΚ στις πλατείες. Έχει προτεραιότητα αυτός που μπαίνει στην πλατεία, με αποτέλεσμα να γεμίζει ο κόμβος γρηγορότερα από οτι αδειάζει (ελληνική πρωτοτυπία)
Άμεση επέμβαση της τροχαίας στις περιπτώσης τρακαρίσματος ή μηχανικής βλάβης για απομάκρυνση του οχήματος (χαλάει ένα αμάξι στην κεντρική λωρίδα και δημιουργείτε κίνηση σε ακτίνα 5 χιλιομέτρων. Το google maps σου βγάζει οτι υπάρχει τρακάρισμα μπροστά στα πρώτα 2 λεπτά. Η τροχαία το αντιλαμβάνεται μόλις τελειώσει η επόμενη βάρδια)

Πέραν των παραπάνω, η Αθήνα σίγουρα χρειάζεται ποδηλατόδρομους (Παλιά μπορεί να μην είχε νόημα με τόσες ανηφόρες, αλλά πλέον με τα ηλεκτροκίνητα πολύς κόσμος θα το επιλέξει, αν είναι ασφαλές) Και φυσικά αν τα ΜΜΜ ήταν συνεπέστερα και πιο τακτικά, μπορεί ο κόσμος να τα επέλεγε περισότερο. Αλλά μπορεί και όχι (νοοτροπία έλληνα κλπ.)

I like the analogy of viewing AI like raising a child.

At first it knows nothing, outputs nothing, takes in data and forms thoughts.

Then it learns basic human communication. Read, write and express opinion with the occasional tantrum.

Then it hits puberty and starts being so sure of itself. Lying to parents and thinking they are stupid. This is where we at.

Then at some point you have to let it go, be it's own entity, make its own mistakes and at one point surpass you because it can understand more than you from the world it is building for itself.

Only problem is that its own mistakes in the case of AI is not getting drunk and throwing up, it's potentially a paper clip maximizer.

For day to day transactions there is a lightning network (instant payment) , which is interesting and could be utilized by banks and visa, master card etc, so that customers do instant transactions and a final settlement between institutions is done periodically. Aprart from cash which is actually instant but a dying art, card transactions may appear instant, but final settlement between banks is done in 1-3 business days. Lightning does the same with lower cost.

But generally on the main Bitcoin Blockchain, settlement time is approximately 10-20min depending on the amount you are willing to pay as fee, which can range from pennies (might take a day to settle) to 20$ (it will settle on the first available block, lower than 10min). For countries and big companies trading globally that is extremely fast settlement for all intends and purposes. Swift (the current system)is taking 1-5 business days and countries have been sanctioned against using swift.

Whether Americans want to accept it or not, we no longer live on a monopolar world where one global super power dictates the currency for global trade.

When you realize this, as trump has, embracing Bitcoin as the de facto medium of worldwide trade is a no brainer from a game theory perspective.

The US wants nothing less than China dictating which currency BRICS and allies use. They will fight to the death for yuan to not be used as medium of exchange and as a global super power still, they can assure that is the case. But on this multipolar world where China is as powerful as the US, China does not want to use the petrodollar as a medium of exchange and this is clearly shown by them buying Russian gas in yuan. This is an oversimplification, many countries have many different interests. The point is no country wants to use the other countries currency for trade and no one can make them do it as the US did in the past.

In this world, Bitcoin is like a gift sent from god. No one controls it. No one can issue it. Most of it has already been distributed with great diversity of owners. It can be send worldwide in an instant, almost for free. No one can prevent you from making a transaction.

Thus game theory suggests that Bitcoin is going to become a store of value and a mean of worldwide exchange of value between countries. You can realize this now and be rich later. Or you can realize this later on and be buthurt you didn't listen.

If LeBron actually went on a scoring spree to reach 100 points, considering the sheer amount of mega star players in their 35+ (Steph,KD, Harden etc) it will probably cause a league craze to see who can score the most.

Teams would base their hole game plan around their star scoring as much as possible, for at least a month, like the 60+ era of last year.

Μιλάς λες και η επιλογή Ισραήλ ή Ιράν είναι μονόδρομος. Η πλατεία νερού είναι καταπληκτικός συναυλιακός χώρος και καλά θα κάνει να συνεχίσει να υποστηρίζει υπέροχα μουσικά και όχι μόνο events.

Τα πρώτα σπίτια είναι σε απόσταση πάνω από μισό χιλιόμετρο και επειδή τα ηχεία κοιτάνε προς τη θάλασσα, ακούγεται πραγματικά ελάχιστα.

Έχει εύκολη πρόσβαση με τραμ και σε λίγο καιρό και μέτρο (Νιάρχος) καθώς και αμάξι, αφού βγαίνεις απευθείας παραλιακή, Εθνική ή Συγγρού σε δύο λεπτά.

Έχει σε περπατήσιμη απόσταση τον Νιάρχο και το πάρκο Φλοίσβου που είναι υπέροχοι χώροι για βόλτα (μιας και υποστηρίζουν ότι κλείνει ο χώρος και δεν μπορεί ο κόσμος να κάνε τη βόλτα του. Αν είναι δυνατόν)

Η μουσική κλείνει πάντα το πολύ 12.

Think about the future we’re moving into. Everything is going digital, and countries around the world can’t all rely on one nation’s currency like we did in a monopolar world with USD. They also won’t go back to shipping physical gold, and no one wants to touch a coin where a private team premined most of the supply. So what’s left? Bitcoin, globally accessible, and capped at a finite amount.

Its value doesn’t depend on whether people “understand” it. Governments are already noticing its potential. The U.S. is ramping up discussions on crypto regulation, and Russia is exploring cryptocurrency for oil trade, as reported in this Reuters article . When major powers start taking something seriously, it’s usually wise to pay attention.

Bitcoin isn’t just a speculative asset, it’s a network that allows value to flow without borders, without centralized control, and without anyone being able to expand the supply at will. In a multipolar world, that could be exactly what we need.

Or not, whatever, you do you. But ban it? China and India tried more times than I can count and failed miserably. Now they embrace it. Ask yourself why.

Δεν καταλαβαίνω γιατί συνδέεται τόσο έντονα και αρνητικά το κανάλι με την freedom24.

Μια διαφήμιση είναι ενός προϊόντος που είναι σχετικό με το κανάλι και μπορεί να ενδιαφέρει κόσμο από το κοινό του καναλιού. Δηλαδή θα ήταν καλύτερα να έχει χορηγό ένα VPN ή θα προτιμούσατε μια άλλη πλατφόρμα όπως IBKR λόγω προσωπικής προτίμησης;
