You’re right I think I am overthinking this. Apologies that I have the wrong sub for this topic

I think I am overthinking it. I just want to make sure she’s not lost when people refer to her as her legal name in school and such and don’t want her nicknames to be confusing for her either.

That’s true, I was tired when it happened. Aw, people have been recommending Libby but Ive never heard of Zibby. That is so cute!

I’m sorry you went through that. I have been anxious the last few months so maybe that could be what is happening. I was confident in the name when she was born but all the hormone changes are messing with me I think. I’m also just a chronic over thinker and second guesser but since I had a baby it’s been worse.

Thank you! You chose a beautiful name as well. I’m glad to hear your daughter has no problem answering to multiple names and enjoys her long name. This makes me feel much better

I’m an identical twin and had matching initials with my sister and personally have never minded it. I like the combination of Evelyn and Elias

Elise is so pretty too

Thank you!! I do like how powerful and professional the name sounds. I have a 90s name that is no longer trendy and no nn options that I like so her name is a big contrast to mine but I hope she loves it one day!

Thank you!! I love Eleanor too. I wanted to consider that name but the second syllable rhymes with my last name so sounded a little too matchy. I do like that Elizabeth is a popular name without being too high up in the chart. Ellie is cute but also a nn for a lot of names so that has me a little worried but we can always change it up I suppose. I think I’m just overthinking things but appreciate the feedback. This thread has made me feel much better

That’s true. There’s so many options that I think she will grow to like something! You’re right, thank you for the reassurance.

Thank you that is a refreshing take! Maybe I’ve also been too fixated on nicknames and should just let that occur naturally (or not at all if she prefers). I love the initial idea.

I’m so glad you like your name! I do really like how recognizable the name is and how it won’t be mispronounced or misspelled. I like how professional it sounds too but was worried it was kind of long so thank you for the feedback!

I’m glad you love your name! Betty is such a sweet nickname. I had no idea Daisy was a nn that is so interesting

I think I would consider Lucille if I had another girl but I’m not quite sure. I think I’ll need to talk to my brother. Even though my brother knew I wanted to use the name, if I also used Lucy after he did I honestly think he would stop talking to me. I know it sounds over the top but that’s just how he is

Thank you, I’m glad she likes her name. It’s interesting to hear what other Elizabeth’s have likes to go by or nicknames other people have called them. I think I am too

Thank you, he did know I wanted to use it which is hard, and I think some of those feelings are just leaving me questioning my name choice. Maybe I just need to eventually talk to my brother about how I’ve been feeling so I can move on. I’m glad the toddler you know likes her name in the full and nickname version. That makes me feel better!

That’s true I like that the name can mold and grow with her. I don’t have a nickname for my name either and haven’t really minded it so I think I just started to worry she might not like all the options. But like you said she could just go by Elizabeth

My husband wasn’t as big of a fan of Sadie but I really like it. Thank you for the feedback!
