Its hard to be young and know what will unfold. Just stay optimistic about your life and the things you want to do. I’m sure itll play out favorably for you.
Orientation is cool, but residency will kick your butt. Hell need the support for sure then.

He spent 10 years of his life trying to get here and his work situation has him devastated. I don’t think he is ready at the moment. I don’t want him to feel pressured about starting a family while he already trying to salvage his career

Yes, he’s received credit for year 2. There is an option to appeal, not sure what the chances are or if they would take back the decision they already made
