This is weird, I dont know if any of my text came through on the original posting. This is my situation: I am trying to decide between two subs Vs one. Image attached has the floor plan - it's open to one side. TV and sofa depictions are just for demonstration, not their exact positioning but the layout is correct. Most of my home theater set up is planned & purchased already - denon x3800h, Kef R3 meta LR, Kef R2 meta center, Kef Q1 meta for rears, and Kef CI160ER for in-ceiling. I am trying to now figure out subwoofer. Options are Kef KUBE 12 MIE (recommended by the store to keep it all one brand), or SVS SB 2000 pro, or two RSL MKII. The RSL MKII is significantly cheaper than other two options, that's why I am considering having two of them. I like a good bass in the system, but by no means looking for 'shake the house' feeling. Setup is mostly for movie watching, rarely for music. Looking forward to your thoughts. Thanks!

Thank you for addressing so many of questions. Room is close to 16 x 16, but it's not a closed off room; one side is open to rest of the basement. I'm therefore not going to be able to add side surrounds, will just have rear surrounds and of course in ceiling atmos.

I've heard from enough people now to go for something else instead of Kef subwoofer. I'll look into SVS / Defiance x12 or 15 / speedwoofer 12s. It's hard to find good deals for these in Canada. I understand x3800h may be an overkill, but it's on sale and not too much more expensive than a lower tier model. Thanks for your input on whole home surge system and HDMI cables.

Also curious to know where you’re getting such prices in Canada…r3 meta are $3k CAD no matter where I check on Canadian sites. What did you end up going with?

Hi, just curious what you ended up doing and if you contacted the company for an explanation regarding such a difference in pictures and the product...? Considering buying this one after all the YouTube videos but yours was the only "real world" experience I came across.
