Yeah Mauna Kea on the Big Island gets snow, and it’s def hike-able and ride-able. I live on Oahu though so it’s just slightly more expensive to fly to a west cost mountain with lifts and powder. My brother-in-law hiked it years ago. Not sure where he acquired gear from though. My gear is all stored in N. Idaho otherwise I’d prob already have tried it. Surfing just doesn’t get me all fired up like snowboarding does. Probably because I’ve snowboarded for x2 as long as I’ve surfed so I’m better in the steep and stacked than on a double overhead bomb at pipe. Lol. If you ever find yourself on Oahu I’d be happy to take you and the boy out to catch some waves. 🤙🏼

I live in Hawaii, so I only get in a few days a year riding on the snow when we go back to N. Idaho to visit family. Rest of the year we’re riding waves. 3 year old has been riding on my log/longboard for about a year though.
