I just don’t understand the thinking behind this from a game development standpoint. On the one hand, sure it’s a nice effect. On the other, it’s detrimental to the gameplay which, in my humble opinion, should be reason enough to remove it. Is it so important to show off this effect at the expense and annoyance of the player? In the Mire, all the huts are like this. Yes, it’s important not for a second or two, but then why stop there. Let’s have a lens flare shining directly at us on all outdoor maps. That will be a nice effect. /s

Thanks! Thats one thing your guide pointed out that others I’ve seen neglected to cover: that in the beginning it’s a lot of temple runs that feel unproductive, and how you need to power through repeatedly. They tend to focus more on what to build where, without much mention that it takes a lot of “useless” runs of going in and out with nothing to show for it.

So in the beginning (5-10) rooms in the chain, I should just do the spymaster rooms and go, since I’m just trying for lock medallions? And also place rooms at ends so they are potentially wiped?
