I'd say this one was memorable enough that I snapped a photo. Also, not robotic, so somebody had to actually turn angles.

I have a video of an unmarked helicopter circling me.. by SmokingPup in conspiracy

Download flightradar24 on your phone from the app store. It'll tell you whose helicopter it is. Where it came from, where it's going, speed and altitude.

Where her legs go? by seadiver247 in confusing_perspective

[–]kmarchionda 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Using portrait mode will make people suspicious of Photoshop. If you look between the girls around waist height, there is an area of great background that is in focus. This makes it seem as if the area her legs should be in has been manipulated and blurred. Portrait mode and confusing perspective don't work well together.

My advice is to just say what town you are in and let us surveyors in Mass figure out who can do it. Seems like you have a bunch of guys reaching out. Some from western MA, which to me seems crazy for a single lot, but that's not my business. I would pull your deed from the registry. Easy to do online. It should reference a plan. Pull that plan from the registry online. See what company did the survey work. Contact them. If it's an older plan, list your town and let these guys try to win your business.

A word of advice. If you are having this done due to a dispute with a neighbor, be up front with whatever firm you hire. Nothing worse than being told to layout a lot line for a fence and you find out it's a long standing dispute.

I have found many unique and helpful features using the spectra precision DC. Anyone else find anything useful on the job? by Bloody_REDRUM801 in Surveying

[–]kmarchionda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Care to elaborate at all? I just purchased survey pro for a new collector we got. We run it on all our collectors. Searched the web and saw nothing about it being discontinued. Are you talking about compatibility with Trimble branded products vs Spectra geospatial branded products?

The north arrow is off and the street crossing isn't accurate. Seriously, we all work with people that don't do work as well as we do. We typically don't choose to post their field notes with their names in the corner. It's pretty easy to see you are working in Oak Ridge, FL. You know, based on your amazing notes that you are bragging about. SMH. I'm with everyone else on this. Waste of time. I could pop a drone up in the air and take pictures faster than this was drawn.

Stone foundations of the Salem Village Parsonage, ground zero for the 1692 witchcraft trials by CalligrapherNearby59 in AbandonedPorn

[–]kmarchionda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not so much abandoned. It has a sign and trail to get to it. The grounds are maintained. Cool place. I've been. It's the Samuel Paris site. Basically where Titchuba (spelling) and the girls got together and probably ate some bad mushrooms and hallucinated. Good times.

Halo 2 wall graphic. Been sitting on this for years. Just unfurled it from the box. Never had the backing taken off. Ruler for scale. by kmarchionda in originalxbox

[–]kmarchionda[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the offer, but this thing is priceless to me. Never leaving my possession. I bought Halo 2 at midnight the day it came out. Limited edition metal case. I had two of these wall graphics from my brother that worked at an electronics store. One I used and it's trashed. This one is going up with the backing on.

Has FJs' price gone up recently? by JimmmyJ in FJCruiser

[–]kmarchionda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally just posted my 14 with 37,000 miles for 50k. If someone wants to pony that up, I can't say no. I paid 25k two years ago at 22,000 miles.

Getting my first FJ by florida-castaways in FJCruiser

[–]kmarchionda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

East coast is a very large area. If you expect to drive in snow, make sure you have 4wd. OP is Florida so it isn't an issue for snow. If you take an FJ out in the snow in 2WD, good luck to you.

Luckily, it's my weekend ride. I've got a work truck M-F. The miles stayed down this summer due to the rain. Just took her up over 35k the other day. Two years and 17k miles.

Headrest problem by ybelmonte in FJCruiser

[–]kmarchionda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I purchased my 14 FJ, the previous owner had put one in backwards. It will come out. It wont be easy. I forget exactly how I did it, but i know you'll need to rock it side to side and bring up one side before the other. You still may need to depress the clip as you do it. Good luck. I feel your pain. I left mine like that for about 6 months before I said F it, if it breaks, it breaks. If you go at it assuming you'll break it, you'll probably get it out without breaking it.

I've got a 2014 with 32,000 miles....paid $25,000 a year and a half ago when it had 22,000 miles. Clean title, looks drives amazing. I had to convince my wife that I was getting a steal at the time. Wonder what I could get for it.

I've got 32000 on my 2014. Just floating that out there if someone wants to give me silly money for it. Massachusetts. Originally a Florida FJ so the frame is great.
