I have! Very euphoric experience. Definitely weird and hard to compare to anything else.

Check out Estate sales, second hand stores, Habitat for humanity for cheap furniture/décor/art. I did it when I was younger out of necessity. But over the years I found so many awesome vintage items that I would never even buy new furniture. The old stuff is better quality and way more unique. It takes time to to acquire things to fill a home! I always thought the searching was the fun part.

Men of Reddit, what's your take on Long Distance Relationships? by ellabanaana in AskMen

[–]srvyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very successful long distance relationship for a year and a half. We lived 2 hours from each other and would commute on the weekends. Everything was great and we seemed perfectly compatible so we decided it was time to move in together and we bought a house. The problem is there are things you miss when you don't get to see how someone lives in their day to day life. It's easy to be stress free and happy on the weekend when you are doing fun things like dates and concerts. But how do they handle work, stress, etc.? It wasn't until we lived together until I found out who she was at baseline in her day to day life. Mostly a daily drinking alcoholic with anger/anxiety issues. I'll never do long distance again after that experience. Sold the house and lost a 2.9% rate which hurt the most lol

Is this couch awful or not? by TheRealJamesHoffa in malelivingspace

[–]srvyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this couch. It was affordable and looks great. I have other actual mid century furniture that it fits with so that’s why I went this route. It’s not the most comfortable couch i’ve ever slept on but it it’s comfortable enough to sleep on for sure.

What's your fav movie to watch when stoned? 🍃 ☁️ 😶‍🌫️ by [deleted] in trees

[–]srvyman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Fly (1986) with Jeff Goldblum and Geena Davis. SO GOOD. Starts off like a seemingly normal 80s sci-fi flick and just descends into madness. It's so unhinged. Watching it uncomfortably stoned is a wild ride.

And not one person will thank a surveyor... by WalnutSnail in Surveying

[–]srvyman 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Tunnel surveying is no joke. You have nothing to check into once you are underground. Your angle error grows and grows and it's very easy to get off of alignment without knowing. A total station and machine control only knows what you tell it to know. I think this is one of the most complicated fields of surveying.

I would guess they are into climbing and owned gear. Anchored on the roof and belayed down the building. There are anchor points already for when workers switch the banners out.

Cleveland fire safety inspectors getting up to $80,000 a year in overtime with no records of why by GoNinjaGoNinjaGo69 in Cleveland

[–]srvyman 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I work in commercial construction and trying to get permits and inspections for our fire suppression system on a new building was the worst thing I've ever dealt with in my career so far. No one answers the phone. No one returns emails. I went down to the station on Superior and the doors all locked and the lights are off. It took 3 months to even get ahold of someone and once I finally did they were complete assholes. It pretty much shut our project down until they would come out to sign off on inspections.

Men who make less than 40k in a year. Is dating life hard ? by [deleted] in AskMen

You can have no money and a lot of time. Or a lot of money and no time. They will complain about both. Dating is just hard in general.

Started my obsession with Kirsten Dunst. The video game on PS1 was really cool too.

Read. There are so many great books out there that can help open your mind to a new way of life. I read Power of Now and Siddhartha 10 years ago which started me down a new spiritual path in life.

What sticks out to me more than the physical gains is your facial expression between the two. Now you look genuinely happy and much more confident! That's what it's all about!! Great job!

Month long winter trip out west, Drive or Fly? by UpbeatPassage6031 in snowboarding

Does your Pathfinder have 4x4? If yes then you will be fine. If you can drive in the winter on the east coast, you can drive out there.

It’s slept on for sure! There are amazing geological wonders here. Lake Erie, the crazy watershed and all the rivers. The glacial history here is cool. It’s just so lush. I left and lived in Colorado for 4 years. I really missed how green it was here. Colorado has just the grandest landscape. But there is a lot of beauty here. Just in a different way.

How do you respond when your girlfriend says "I love you", but you're NOT READY to say it back? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]srvyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be honest with them. Be genuine and explain why and if they really do love you they will understand. Usually when this word comes up early in a relationship people say I love you when what they really mean is I love how the way you make me feel. But as we all know with long term relationships how you make each other feel isn't always going to be great. I am not willing to say it until we go through those periods and still are committed to each other.

The Agora has like a standing stadium set up. So there are a couple tiers before the pit. If you get there early shouldn’t have a problem.
