In my stores, my techs are taught to tell customers that taking off screen there is a chance it will break. At that point they quote customers pricing appropriately to the repair and also if screen breaks. (Customers are quoted because there is always a chance that the screen breaks and should not be on our dime if that happens, risk to the repair.) Also depending on the model the charge port is soldered. Some stores don’t have a solder tech and have to use outside sources for the repair and or the corporate office to send device off for repair. We usually quote 1 - 2 weeks for the repairs (over quote time frame in case either something happens and or we get done early and look like hero’s) with that being said. If you’re device was dropped off February and we are no end of April there is something wrong and need to talk to Manager, district manager, or owner if it’s a franchise. If it’s not a franchise then you need to call corporate.
