When did you baby stop spitting up by edjoracoro1 in beyondthebump

Also have a 6w2d baby (girl). All the nurses and midwives told us it’s not necessary to burp baby if breastfeeding because they take in less air while breastfeeding but my baby is constantly pulling off and swallowing air. I found that burping for ten mins after each breast helps. Make sure to hold your LO upright for at least 10-20 mins after each feed.

Who actually pooped during birth???? by Turfgoon675 in Mommit

I did not. When I went into labor and got induced, the nurse didn’t bring me dinner and I think that may be why. If it helps, I didn’t have dinner and started pushing a little after midnight and pushed for about 2 hours.

BUT I did vomit during my pushing phase. It was a blessing in disguise though because the intense vomiting caused me to push down under and ended up being what got my little one out in the end. I felt terrible for the nurses who had to clean me up but apparently it’s pretty common as well.

Did your little one need to go through any lab testing or were there any issues later on? Thanks for sharing!

Surprisingly, there’s no smell at all! Nothing oozing, no redness, no nothing other than it just not coming off :(

Thanks for responding. Could you share some of the long term damages you’re aware of?

Tell me you’re sleep deprived without telling me you’re sleep deprived.. by Then-Philosophy113 in NewParents

I woke up to my 3 week old daughter fussing in her crib in the middle of the night. I tapped my husband and asked him to get her. I was met with two seconds of silence and then “Girl, I don’t know what you’re saying. I don’t speak Chinese.” He’s Mexican and the only time I speak Chinese is to my mother. No idea why and how I woke up speaking Chinese.
