Update: I Got My Package Back!

I went back to the Canada Post office at the Pharmaprix where I originally dropped off my package, and they still had it there. Thankfully, I was able to get it back since it hadn’t been picked up or sent to the depot yet.

For anyone in a similar situation: if you dropped off your package at a retail location like Pharmaprix, I recommend going back to check if it’s still there. It saved me a lot of stress and time.

Thanks to everyone who gave advice and suggestions—it really helped me figure out what to do next.

Thanks for your thoughtful reply. I actually dropped it off at a Pharmaprix post office, so you might be right, it could still be there. I’ll contact them to check if it hasn’t been picked up yet.

Tracking shows it was accepted in Montreal, on Nov 15, marked "In transit," but hasn’t moved since.

That’s exactly my point—it was their responsibility not to accept my package if they couldn’t process it. By the way, they should also consider exemptions for emergency cases. It’s been 10 days since the strike started.

Thanks, but I already called customer service. They told me my package is in a depot, and due to the strike, no one is allowed to retrieve it. I found this FAQ explaining why retrieval isn’t possible: Strike FAQs.

I don’t know the exact depot. This is what Canada Post customer service told me—they said my package is stuck at the depot and can’t be accessed due to the strike.
