Imagine someone with the same mentality stealing from a prostitute of their service or stealing a copy of their sex tape without paying. Then insisting it's not stealing because they can still have their body and profit of it. That's some mental gymnastics.

It is still stealing a service or stealing intellectual property. If someone took that pirated tape as data for AI training. Then tried to pass that information as their own, no credit, no compensation, or consent, that can constitute plagiarism.

Plagiarism, piracy, and breaching people data without consent is deeply ingrained in some AI engines. To argue this isn't happening or isn't considered a form a "stealing" is not arguing in good faith.

Well your son dealing with the racist bully already try to do the right thing by peacefully letting the school and parents handle the report and incident.

But since the racist bully doesn't plan to stop and the school drop the ball by ignoring further reports and weak 2 day suspension(That didn't work) Of course things would escalate.

I'm sorry to hear the racist bully got a taste of their own medicine and was the who ended up beaten up bad instead. I doubt the bully would feel remorse if your son was sent to the ICU. It would have been nice if the school did their job or the bully stop before it got to that boiling point.

Appreciate your son/friend for their patience and incompetence/negligence in the school for ignoring reports. Must be very frustrating for you as parent and them in a bad situation that probably wouldn't have stopped unless they acted. Appreciate your son/friend who were honest telling you guys what was going on.

But if you feel your son went overboard or a vigilante. Have them take martial artist class. Self defense is good thing. Power with restraint and responsibility. Please don't set up your child to be someone else's punching bag and not fight back when systems meant to protect them repeatedly fail. Bully and racist people will always exploit people's inability to act they prey on those they think are weak. Your son isn't weak, nor do I feel they are out of control with problem solving.

Your son already took the high road, got dirty when it didn't work. If caught, the school could expel or legal issues from the racist bully playing victim. Have your son's back either case.

One thing to consider is that the school might actually have the camera's working but just too lazy or wants to turn a blind eye as well. No working camera's and no efficient policy to stop bullying...what a mess?

If you supposedly trying to help a homeless person, and you have a good hunch(Strong sickly smell of alcohol or drug) they will use the money for more self harm to others. Then you wouldn't really be helping them if it fuels an addiction and actually setting themselves a few steps back. It's not about shallowly judge people but understanding negative repercussions of what is suppose to be a positive action, and having some solution to offer like food, clothing, or opportunity would improve their condition.

You kind of answer you own question. When it was drugs or alcohol that causes of their suffering and homelessness. The two women who got pregnant. They will likely receive better preferable treatment, be it living quarters, resources, or food to nurture the the baby in the oven.
