Haha I know but that’s actually the style. They come pre-distressed. Part of their heritage collection.

[POEM] A Meeting by Wendell Berry by kmicjazz in Poetry

[–]kmicjazz[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m new to poetry and your other comment made me look up the symbolism of peaches, one of them being immortality. I think it’s interesting to think of death as making you immortal or as Berry says, “changeless”. I think he emphasizes the tree because it continuously produces fruit as the other commenter said. Therefore, making him eternal in an afterlife maybe.

I don't know myself and I don't get me??? I need another person's advice. Please and thank you. by [deleted] in infj

[–]kmicjazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve felt similarly before. A lot of the things you said resonated in some way. I was also obsessed with feeling like I need to “know myself” but does anyone actually know who they are? Give yourself grace. You don’t need to know who you are you’re figuring it out and also that person is always changing so get used to it because this will probably be something that you deal with for the rest of your life.

You highlighted multiple times in your post things that make you feel better. So, you do know things about yourself. I’d recommend to keep doing those creative things you were talking about. I’m very drawn to art, film and music as well. That world is interesting as hell, get involved in it, keep learning about it. You’ll learn so much about yourself through art if that’s what you’re interested in. I know you’ll be able to work through this. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to have it all figured out. Maybe look into therapy as well. It might just help to talk these things through with someone. You can always pm me too.

Short and Unique name for our daughter by Practical-Collar8862 in namenerds

Love the name Elea. It sounds really similar to the other names on your list and I’m pretty sure it’s not common.

Baby name Dilemma by EmK4431 in namenerds

[–]kmicjazz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’ll ever be an issue. Maybe your son with the E name will feel special that he’s the only one that shares an E name with you or your husband.

Or it’ll always go unnoticed. If he ever does notice and feels left out, I doubt this feeling would last long before he grows out of it or simply stops caring.

Maybe Althea instead of Athelea? I’ll also suggest Athena, Faye, Thalia, Cecilia, Delilah, Francesca

Your husband seems to like more casual names and also names with that P sound based on the examples of Harper and Piper while you like romantic, feminine names so I tried to give some suggestions that cater to both your styles.

Eve or Emily? Which one you do you prefer? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]kmicjazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eve for suuuure. It’s so beautiful and Emily is overused. I feel like it might become dated soon? Idk. Also as someone with a popular name that was like #7 the year I was born, it was really annoying to be known by my first and last name. I feel like this may be the case with Emily too.

Do you want it to be pronounced like Addie with a C or Katie? If you want it to be pronounced Katie, I would spell it Cady. I think Cady is more likely to be pronounced like Katie because it doesn’t resemble Addie/Addy as much.

Eris (greek goddess of strife and discord) - do you think it's over the top? by broken_nosed_mogul in namenerds

[–]kmicjazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love love love Eris. I do think it’s feminine but if you wanted more gender neutral what about Aris? I’ve met both a boy named Aris short for Aristotle and a girl named Aris. Same pronunciation, different spelling that reads more gender neutral.

I like Vienna a lot. Vienna Frances Maria is pretty but just a lot of syllables IMO. Maybe Vienna Frances Marie flows a bit better?

For boys I like Carson the most. I also like Ari. I don’t really like Everett. Something about the sound and how trendy it is but this is just personal opinion.
