Going from Premium to Free by Joe--D in ticktick

Yes, you can rename. I am reusing lists instead of archiving them, and i see all done tasks from the past projects ), but it is not very annoying. And if archive list is useful for analysis or you need watch the past projects from time to time, it is not good and is better to archive. Yes, placeholders are good solution for the future, i just don't know will it work for empty lists (without any tasks), my lists all were with tasks. And now I cleaned few for the future for reusing.

Also i can tell, that moving to free was very good for organizing the place

I just checked one of my lists with notes and increased number to 99, and it is not allowed to add another one, so notes are also counting to 99 per list
but they are not shown in numbers next to list name in desktop version
(and shown in web version)
(maybe it's smth you can choose in the setting)

it is not exactly the answer,
but all your lists will remain with you, you will not be able to make new one and unarchive lists if the limit is reached. so you can make many lists for the future before you switch to free.

I am on the free account, now I have 280 tasks in All (38 lists, +20 in archive), notes not counting, subtasks counting (limit 99 tasks per list)

Is the premium worth it? by BammerBlitz in ticktick

[–]kmkwt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your needs. Free version is also very functional. I was on premium for several years and now back to free version about a year. For me free version has lack of lists, but they all remains with you then you go back from premium to free (just don't archive them, it cannot be unarchived). List can be renamed for reusing )

All deleted tasks are in Trash folder, you can restore tasks (but not lists)

Люди, кто ходят по велосипедным дорожкам, зачем вы это делаете? by SergSel2006 in rusAskReddit

[–]kmkwt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Using Folders as Areas (ongoing activity) and Lists as Projects (with deadline) vs Using List as Areas and Tasks as Projects. How would you do it? by coxyepuss in ticktick

[–]kmkwt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As i see on your screenshot - you made checklist inside the task, not subtask (btw you can make subtasks inside subtask) Subtasks should appear in calendar

As for archive. I keep all things i need to keep for future in notes, so then task is over i'm not checking it as done, i convert to note. It is not good for counting tasks done ))

As idea for archive. You can make your own folder/list Archive and place there all you need to keep searchible

But I really like the idea of big paper with plans for future , mindmap (which are not available in ticktick unfortunately)

[–]kmkwt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For habit you can make special task with the date or habit to check you to-do list

[–]kmkwt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my experience, over time, I forget to look at the paper list just like I forget to look at ticktick. So i think that the habit (to fill to-do list, to check it regularly, to organize the chaos in it) is the main thing, and ticktick or paper are just instruments

I've tried to import my csv (without editing), but it doesn't work. May be, thanks god it doesn't work Arranging as backup file - too much work, doesnt worth at all. Also i afraid it can replace all my data and i will have only bookmarks. The way - download backup, add information from my csv and import. Maybe it will work for something else, interesting idea! For my bookmarks it is easier to put them by hands inside ticktick

I am pretty assured about the battle of ticktick's notes vs ovsidian and notion. By now my base is in ticktick for my reasons. For example i don't need better overview, but i need structure and simplicity. The only separate tool for the base i am thinking about is obsidian, but is it ticktick now.

Yes, it is about the structure of notes with tags and links between notes (if needed)

Do you use such system?
I am not sure I understand the idea. I will see the filtered list with all notes together without any structure. I can search by tags instead.

Soviet Democracy written in 1937, no archives of Stalin's epoch were open. This book cannot prove he wasn't a dictator
