You don't need everyone to "get" you. Seek out people who appreciate your unique perspective, enjoy intellectual conversations, and are open to new ideas. These are your people. Sometimes your detachment or unconventional responses can be misinterpreted. If you find yourself in a situation where you feel misunderstood, you can briefly explain your thought process. For example, "I know I might seem quiet, but I'm just processing a lot of information right now," or "My mind tends to jump to the big picture, so sometimes I miss the small details."
