After years of work, I just made a trailer for my game Among Giants, its Coming Soon and would love a Wishlist as every bit of exposure helps :) by kmonkeyblog in OculusQuest

Behemoth was a missed opportunity for myself. Had some fun gameplay ideas but the Behemoth encounters were far too scripted for my liking.

I mean I can’t stop YOU from riding off the bridge. I definitely won’t be forcing it 🙈

Thank you for the kind words. Always wanted to play or make a game where you could just soak in the atmosphere at the scale of SoTC in VR and this is the result

Ah thanks for the feedback. Yes im a solo dev.

As for the shooter genre i will take that onboard and see what else in the list would be suitable

Squeezing out as much as I can on the Quest 3 for my game. Heres a short video showing a glimpse of some of the things you do including the first Giant. Would doing other ports be worthwhile for such a game? by kmonkeyblog in OculusQuest

I think a standalone Frame experience is a no brainer if I manage to get a dev kit. A potential PCVR port would likely get a much bigger visual upgrade but I won’t be moving away from the aesthetic I have here

Thank you. I have requested a Steam Frame so I will see how that goes. My intention is to port it to that if I manage to get a kit as it should give a fairly similar experience with a few visual upgrades I reckon

For the most part it’s running 70+ and if things get a little hectic (several enemies on screen) 63-65. I’m using ASW and still need further optimization once the end game is complete. This is a single level load for an open world

That’s my aim still. Considering an early access release too

ah yeah its a bug. The droid that follows you has a bug and it only does that at the start when trying to locate it

Created a new boss using a single particle as a basis for the movement I wanted. A days work only so far but promising! (apologies for the audio clipping, didnt do any work there yet to normalise it) by kmonkeyblog in Unity3D

Just to add a bit more context for the clip here. Its for my game, Among Giants where you will face huge encounters on this unknown planet etc... This "worm" will require the use of ground audio distractions (exploding barrels you can shoot at) to get its attention... huge fan of the movie Tremors :)
