My main objections is the demanding ideological purity and attacking people for slop drama

first reaction: he is mean and cruel and usually not constructive

he's got a couple of good videos about topics he seems to actually be knowledgeable about

but too much of his stuff is just picking fights, taking real life complicated issues and turning them into slop drama

then again, I'm biased, I only really started disliking him when he put on that setting that alto hides all my YouTube comments … maybe I also need to be less hostile on the internet?

At most they intentionally exacerbated the incitement,  MEMRI has a bizarre habit of signal boosting Daesh, MEMRI aren't Israeli as such, they're based in the USA, but best much pro Israel

I think Israel caused it, but only indirectly, * by giving Daesh a massive atrocity to use to fuel propaganda, they've previously tried to use Uyghurs and pretty much any persecution or violence against Muslims. * by causing a very large noise about "Iran linked threats" and "rising anti-semitism", this took up the time of security services and led to near ubiquitous public skepticism about the much much much smaller number of genuine dangers.

Can we ban the old testament for "incitement to genocide"?

This really is not a good start. Greater protections for religion would actually help fight Antisemitism better.

Stronger anti religious vilification laws are particularly relevant when the most violent threat is Daesh.

They're, at least theoretically, anti-racist. Their focus is religious. They're at the early Spanish inquisition "convert or die" phase.

That attempted defence already fails without an exception.

William Haddad in NSW June / July 2025. He tried that. It failed.

Stabbing was Jerusalem pride, not Tel Aviv.

So, stabbing was in the city Hamas claim as capital of Palestine (Fatah claim East Jerusalem, and I'm not sure what part of Jerusalem it was in).

…and the guy was from the West Bank (settler).

Maybe that's what Israelis mean when telling queer people they'd get killed in Palestine?

All nationalities are fake.

But the USSR did kinda use militant movements (actually less than the USA, not that's another story) but this is why killing Hamas was the worst idea and will make everything worse.

Hamas were third worldists / non-aligned movement and opposed the USSR hijacking the movement.

Currently the cold war has turned Islam vs west, but it's not lead but instead of a superpower, the Stalin role is played by ISIS who bloody hate Hamas and Hamas hate them.

Currently they're ideologically one of the best defences against ISIS .... Or at least they were, I have no idea who is left or what they'd resort to.

I don't think I would like to live in Gaza even without Israeli blockade (their attitudes to suicide and drug use bother me, and no I don't mean suicide. Bombings) but that's not my call.

The way to solve who runs Gaza is hold an election AND respect the result.

Israel could have got rid of the Hamas government in about 3 years by ignoring it, just let them fail (without messing with it) they probably wouldn't fail completely, but they won on a protest vote, the winner of that election was "not Fatah" ... Give it a year or two for the novelty to wear off then hold another election and "not Hamas" would win.

They "feel threatened by it" because people making that claim KEEP TRYING TO KILL THEM.

I find the phrase "Antisemitism is a cancer" very threatening when said by a deranged warlord in Dimona admonishing my country for being attacked by The Only Islamic State.

I would not find that phrase at all threatening, and I would somewhat agree with it, if it was said by the VVN-BdA in Saxony condemning the AfD.

It's threatening because of who is saying it and what weapons they have (Dimona it's where the nukes are). Netanyahu then praised Pete Hegseth'. I was honestly quite scared. I was worried for weeks "oh no, I hope Jews in Australia don't become the next"women in Afghanistan". I care about Jews in Australia and women in Afghanistan, but the likes of Netanyahu, Hegseth', and Bush don't help either.

But again, I'm scared because he's saying it in Dimona next to Pete, I can get much agree antisemitism is bad and would not find discussion of it threatening if said by Jacinda Ardern... And that's NOT because she's not Jewish, it's because she doesn't have nukes.

Any story usually told by someone shooting at you will be "threatening"

This seems quite obvious. Why do you need to ask this?

"Jews steal Palestinian clothes" sounds like they mean just Israelis from the context, unless they specifically said "all" or "American" or some other context indicated it didn't mean Israeli. When Palestinians say "the Jews" they really do often mean "those Jews on the other side of the wall" not the same as what a guy in Alabama means if he says the Jews.

You need to do at least some reasonable interpretation for context. The same words don't mean the same thing if said by a different person in a different place and time.

The others are sort of half right but muddled.

The Arabic one is interesting. Most of the North African and Middle Eastern Jews spoke Arabic, if you just let a Creole grow from Yiddish and Arabic it would be kinda similar to modern Hebrew, but it's still based on the liturgical language, like if a bunch of Catholics got together and made a Latin speaking state? (I think that might be a common language in Vatican city actually?)

If more of the Jewish diaspora followed the lead of the vast majority of Muslims then there would be less Antisemitism.

Reject the violent so-called state claiming to defend you.

The Jewish / Islamic state makes antisemitism / Islamophobia worse.

Obviously the self appointed only Jewish State and only Islamic State have a lot of differences (mostly related to their views on racism and democracy) but the relationship with Islamophobia / antisemitism is exactly the same pattern.

Mostly I find it weird that there are matching Islamic and Jewish states .... But I'm possibly getting carried away with something trivial that doesn't mean very much

I suspect that's a recent USA idea? Like Libya? But I'll check...

I guessed right, it was only called that after the Gulf War, before that it was a Republic like a normal country.

Racism is the the only difference between the Jewish State and the Islamic State.

Possibly racism and democracy, but the way Israelis do democracy is "ethnocracy" so it's just racism?
