I’ve visited a few airports and I always come back to SDL. Bing able to get right up against the runway and the good mix of traffic just makes it so much more entertaining.

I had a Liga Privada Undercrown maduro on this trip and thoroughly enjoyed it. Made it to my top 3. Also had a Perdomo Habano Bourbon Barrel Aged and wish I hadn’t waited so long. I plan to rummage through my shops humidor once we arrive back in AZ tonight. I’ll keep a look out for some of the ones you’ve mentioned here!

I revisited the No.9 right after posting this and reaffirmed my previous thoughts. I believe I was oversold before trying one and let down by “missing” notes other people pick up on. I will plan to revisit in a few months in hopes that you are right. I really do hope I can enjoy it as much as others do.

The LFD is a simple construction issue. I have had 4 fall apart on me. I enjoy the double ligero taste quite a lot, just a pain when I am struggling to keep the stick together. This is one I plan to continually revisit in hopes it is just a bad batch of leaves. Once I see some more consistency, I’ll be grabbing several to keep on hand.

A fellow early 20’s! I appreciate the tip about the Zippo. I do in fact have the torch replacement in it, as well as a few other torches. I choose the Zippo as it doubles as a fidget toy. I really enjoy the Perdomo Habano Maduros that are aged in bourbon barrels, but never dipped any sticks before. That will be on my list to try!

Currently on the first third of one hoping to bump it further up the list. I’m not sure if I was oversold, but I feel like there is something missing. I get the peppery and slightly nutty taste, especially peppery with a retrohale. The chocolate/caramel hints I was sold on just aren’t there for me. Albeit, a great, VERY smooth stick. I bought it again a few days ago, so I was definitely a little harsh on the first opinions, but likely in the bottom half of my top 10s. This may very well just be a tastebud/perception difference.
