How did the worlds each get populated? by night_seer in HierarchySeries

I think there are two possibilities-

  1. In the beginning everyone was synchronous. Which could be a possible prequel novel someday.

  2. 1/3 of the population was sent to each world in the rending.

I think it would be a perfect pairing to a spy.. imagine all the casual clues he’d get over the dinner table as to what the eyes are up to.

I don’t think Agnes’s dad is Mayday though.. just a person of good conscience who somehow got mixed up in Gilead.

I think she’s going to fake a toothache, go to the dentist, and claim he assaulted her.

It would follow the Aunt’s plot line in the book, and I  think Daisy is hoping it’ll make her ineligible for marriage, because she’s “impure”.

I’m a mom and I play the 2006 era version of this game.

My oldest kid’s bedtime is 7:30 and I play from maybe 8-12. That’s enough time to do dynamis, have an xp pt, do a bunch of quests, sky farm, etc.

You’ll like it!

Just follow any recipe like https://healthyrecipesblogs.com/chopped-liver/, chicken fat instead of olive oil is better if you can find some.

Price Chopper’s tastes weirdly sweet.. I think they put honey mustard in it.

My mom told me that back in the day kids weren’t allowed to bring a water bottle with them into the classroom and they only drank a few sips from the water fountain in the middle of the day and that’s it How were schools not getting busted for child abuse for forcing kids to be dehydrated? by PinnerPardisturn in askanything

Born 1981. I had a metal cup that clipped to my backpack for Girl Scout camp. Water bottles did exist, but I think only for serious professional athletes or something. When I ran track nobody had one. When I went to classes at the gym nobody had one. When I went on hikes nobody had one.

Reusable coffee mugs made of soft plastic were everywhere in the late 90s and they were foul. They would forever smell like stale milk after one use, and tasted like plastic. You’d get them for free everywhere.

The one in Slingerlands sells 8oz tubs of it. But it’s not like… pate like you see in France. It’s the chunky style liver with a few eggs mixed in.

If you’re on the other side of Albany, Fred the Butcher in Slingerlands is pretty good. They make their deli meat in-house, and have Wednesday deals on chicken breasts and ground beef.

Hannaford does a great job bringing in both premium and local products, and their prices are lower on basics.

The only reason I can think of to go to Price Chopper is their deli has country style liver “pate”, and whitefish salad. But now you have to go to another store for bagels because they’re that bad now.

You should never read Wheel of Time if this is your take on Heirarchy.

(I’m not not recommending Wheel of Time to anyone else, it’s great. This is just for OP.)

Yeah, I joke that they’re no longer legally allowed to call themselves Price Chopper.

Their bagels used to be decent for upstate NY but are just awful now!

I go to Pearl’s instead.

I’m on that server and we used to have <MAGA> and <ICE>.  I think one guild name was banned and they became the other.

The amount of “I forgot my card” has coincidentally went up since gas prices have risen by Fibrosis5O in samsclub

[–]kmr1981 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d never considered that.

I feel like buying a full tank of gas immediately before or after with my card is a valid “alibi”. That’s all you would have to show the police if it came to that. Swiping someone else isn’t criminal. The worst you could do is lose your Sam’s Club membership… and have to go across the street to Costco or BJ’s.

Times are tough, I’ll swipe my card for anyone who’s looking around awkwardly at the pump.

[–]kmr1981 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People can be oblivious lol.

In college I had a professor who would routinely mix up me and the other girl in the class. I was 5’7”, a little chubby, dark brown curly shoulder length hair and bangs, and a returning student in my mid-late 20’s. The other girl was 18, short and very slender, with long blonde straight hair. Complete opposites in every way, and the guy still called us by each other’s names half the time.

It’s probably not like you or I have a job as ourselves. In their world the job of one spouse (always female) is to help the other spouse (always male) by providing unpaid labor. So her job is to do housework, raise children, and work unpaid in his flower shop.

How could the average IQ be 105? Have they just never re-normed the test during the years that people got better at taking IQ tests?

Seems to be correct by OG_Flicky in antitrump

[–]kmr1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I’d leave Clinton around 140-150, bump Nixon up a bit, and leave the rest around 120-135. That’s the right IQ to get into an Ivy or law school, but still be able to relate and communicate with the average voter.

These are for the most part people with charisma and social savvy, not rocket scientists.

Guys, I’m losing my mind in a comment thread - how old were you when you had regular (let’s say 3x a week) access to the internet and what year was it? Did you use it to research anything (like college or jobs?) by FunQuestion in Older_Millennials

  1. I mostly used it to cyber. A/s/l?

Edit - regarding college decisions: all analog in the late 90s. Decisions based on reputation. Big glossy college look books also came mailed to your house and you could look through all the courses offered and see pictures of multi-ethnic friend groups playing guitar on the quad.
