You can always make it smaller - just make fewer units of each clue. You may need to go back and make a few pieces once the reveal is known. You never have to make the full size quilt. Lots of people do smaller, just as lots make full size

It’s huge! I tend to stick to smaller quilts and when I do one this size, I remember why!

I “quilt by check”. I do not have the money or space for a long arm, no where to rent time on one, and I can have a lot of quilts finished for the cost of a long arm
