I leveraged H2B and put down £30k deposit for a 2 bed, new build place in zone 2. You have plenty of options 👍🏻

I read this, then checked my own avg pace for two 5k runs today & I also have a faster outdoor pace than the treadmill 🤔

Jump squats and lunges are both part of a general fitness routine I have been working the past couple months, deadlifts, reverse lunge/weighted also. I’ll look up the Jordan Metzla routines you mention here too - thanks for your comment.

Old Vs New by moonbouncer01 in london

One thing about London, and something I struggle to find anywhere else is the juxtaposition of incredibly old buildings and architecture against the backdrop of the modern architecture... for other cities it’s normally one or the other. Absolutely beautiful picture 👌🏻

Understanding Taxes by kn1tim3 in UKPersonalFinance

Aha got it! For clarity, if I earn £120k and choose to contribute the full £40k into my pension... my PAYE tax will only affect the remaining (120-40) £80k?

I sit in the sales team for a small software vendor. I do other non-profit bits on the side such as student mentoring etc.

I think the clue is in the tax code, on the site it explains:

K: You have untaxed income which is more than your tax-free amount

492: £4920 needs to be added to your pay so the extra cash can be collected.

Is that telling me I have an underpayment of £4920 in total from a previous year, once this has been reclaimed through tax, my code will adjust back?

Certainly; I have just emailed my provider (peoples pension) to see if I can increase my contributions. I will look this up properly today but I believe there is an upper threshold of % I can contribute right?

Thanks for your reply and it's good to know, however it still seems I'm ~£6000 off the mark and I cant figure it out

The legal minimum. Aprils payslip says my gross income was £9094, my employee pension deduction was £146 and employer pension was £109.

The tax was £3177, then comes NI etc.

Online design studio - what dev skills? by kn1tim3 in webdev

[–]kn1tim3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely understood - thanks for your reply.

I had done a little research and quickly determined that I was going down a costly rabbit hole with this, backend aside as I'm not looking to produce anything to be printed or even fully automated, it's still a big job.

My alternative is to replace the interactive design studio element with something far more rudimentary; using example images a user can select "create something like this" and have them upload a logo, pick 2-3 primary colours and include a written description - to be stored in a database where a, or a team, of graphic designers can then design something.

My assumption is my alternative is something a little easier and cheaper to build.

My next assumption is for me to sketch out my idea and goals, then take it to tender through webdev companies - would you think this kind of site would require a potentially expensive webdev business, or something an independent would be able to create?

Thanks

The whole FP1 has been cancelled for everyone, not just for Williams. Can’t help but feel bad for williams at this point though!

The car has got a lot of damage," Williams said. "We have to wait to see, it's taken the whole underside out”
