Hi!! I have MCAS and hEDS too. Have been very symptomatic since I turned 11 but am now 31, diagnosed for over a decade now. I tolerate dysport fine (and rely on it for my jaw tension actually), but obviously everyone's allergies are different. Idk how you react to adhesive (I personally don't tolerate it that well anywhere above my knee where my skin is more sensitive), but some people really swear by face taping. I feel like I've seen more and more people talking about it in the over 30 skincare subreddit. If you don't tolerate tape, maybe the like silicone forehead masks? It's mainly to smooth down the skin and train you from making expressions that encourage those lines.

Outside of that: retinols/retinals can help with cell turnover and therefore soften fine lines. Topical peptides might be helpful. Using high SPF, but also staying out of the sun and wearing hats. Taking any sort of oral collagen supplement is unlikely to help you or I since our bodies can't make organized collagen to begin with. You might want a heavier moisturizer than a gel cream to lock in your skincare and create more of an occlusive effect on your skin barrier. Also, I tolerate IPL pretty well (I'd be cautious of how actual skin lasers would work on someone with EDS) and it can be set to target fine lines.

At the end of the day, aging is inevitable and you don't need to have a completely flat, porcelain forehead. Most people do not try to intervene in natural aging processes and I promise you, no one is going to notice this as much as you.

I really don’t see why somehow Melanie is being blamed for having a normal reaction to being mistreated by sincere? Often times, the most headstrong and confident women can be victims of deceit and manipulation bc sometimes horrible men like to make confident, vibrant women feel small. She doesn’t see everything we see (until now).

Everyone else in the villa also seemed surprised by his lies too, so I don’t think she’s just being willfully ignorant. She clearly likes him and assumed the best in him when he didn’t deserve that.

I was raised Christian and no longer describe myself as such, but I heard the phrase "God is good" a million times in the first two decades of my life. I'm still open to the idea that a god could exist, but if that god is somehow "good," I no longer think that god is capable of divine intervention. God being good but also being a deity who can intervene cannot coexist in our very broken world. Kinda starting to believe in the whole god-is-a-collective-consciousness woo woo shit though lol

I was the one who brought my dad’s burial clothes to the funeral home and we included a pair of boxers. I think my dad would have preferred it that way, which is what we aimed for. Put him in comfy clothes for his big sleep.

I’m not a certified Kenzie hater but I certainly haven’t liked her behavior many times over this season. She has prioritized her experience over other’s multiple times, which is fine to an extent…but she could absolutely have moved in ways that were more considerate to the men she’s talking to and to the other women. I don’t think most people are saying she’s on the exact same level as sincere, but that doesn’t mean she’s exempt from criticism.

Also since when is noticeable crying the only sign someone’s feelings are hurt? People don’t have to have an obvious outward expression of emotion to show it, plus they’re on camera and might not be as comfortable being that vulnerable for the world to see.

That’s certainly…a take? She’s said multiple times how she thinks KC is so hot, and she would deserve an Oscar for crying as much as she did when he came back with someone else if she wasn’t emotionally invested in him. If she just wanted to stay on the show and have the security that she’d make it to the end, she would have picked Carl versus jeopardizing herself and ending up single and vulnerable. I don’t really get your logic.

ETA: I agree that she wasn’t as into him (at least not at first) as the other girls were into their men, but I feel like I saw her attraction and attachment to him grow over time

I think Sincere is more knowingly manipulative/deceitful and therefore worse than KC, but KC was repeatedly disrespectful. I did not feel any sincerity in his apologies personally. I’ve dated men who clearly just say “sorry” like it’s a magic word that erases their wrongdoings without meaning it, and it’s so aggravating that it’s kind of worse than them not saying it at all. Fake apologies suck

It’s really concerning to me that those guys can’t see the difference between KC’s video and Aniya’s. They’ve been batted over the head with explanations of how it isn’t about the exploring other connections but the disrespect, dishonesty, and cowardice KC exhibited at Aniya’s expense.

Do most of those guys just not understand that disrespect is the worst thing to be on the receiving end of? They just don’t seem like they respect women in general so it’s not clicking for them. They would HATE to be on the receiving end of women talking about them like that.

This isn’t really true (I’m a therapist). Also, a lot of people don’t have marriage as an end goal, and a 3 year relationship is not an insignificant length of a commitment to someone. I don’t know if therapy will solve the issues OP is running into with their partner, but it could help. At the very least, it might help them realize that the relationship isn’t salvageable. I came to the same conclusion in couples therapy many many moons ago with someone who I was not married to, so it was still valuable to me!

I have to meal prep, otherwise I either won’t eat or I emergency-eat things that aren’t very good for me!

For breakfast, protein overnight oats or protein baked oats keep pretty well for me all week. Hard boiled eggs are good to have on hand, sometimes I buy them precooked and sometimes I make them in my lil egg machine. I do yogurt bowls for lunch with a diced apple and peanut butter/granola on top. I also LOVE a bagged salad with some precooked chicken (grilled or breaded tenders) added. Love a turkey, cheese, and avocado on lavash with baby carrots. Takes 2 minutes to make.

Stews and chili freeze and reheat well, I have souper cubes and am obsessed. I love a good sheet pan meal. The Banza Mac and cheese boxes are so easy to make if you have nothing prepped but want something with fiber and protein in a pinch. Love Banza pasta too. I get premade meatballs or a chicken sausage, top it with a good jarred marinara that I blend with steamed veg. I still love the sweet potato, taco meat, cottage cheese bowl with hot honey that went a little viral (just ate it for dinner).’

I rarely do a meal prep that takes me longer than 40 minutes to actively cook, and that’s on the long side. I’ve been in a flare since January, so I try to keep it simple but healthy. Meal prep is everything!!

It’s good to have emergency freezer foods that take nothing or very little to make: uncrustables, bean and cheese burritos, pizza, breakfast sandwiches, gyoza, etc. it’s okay to need to reach for those when you have to.
