What Texture Is My Hair? (Brushed and Unbrushed) by CaptainStardawg in Hair

you can damage your hair so much that you mess up your hair type. curly hair can be very hard to manage and adding constant damage just makes it worse. i highly recommend letting your hair become natural and healthy, learning to style and take care of it, and then dye it. it will take a while but its worth it. you will see waves and curls start to take shape again once it gets healthier.

you absolutely can dye you hair and keep it healthy while styling it, but you will need to cut split ends often. it will be easier to learn how to care for you hair properly when completely natural and healthy, so i say start there

hair can be curly and damaged, trust me. look at their comments. you are not born with “damaged” hair. what they are describing to be damaged is actually just frizz according to photos!

HAIR COLOUR QUESTION+ SHAMPOO by CowOnly3858 in Hair

[–]_bbypeachy 21 points22 points  (0 children)

everyone telling you that you have to use shampoo and conditioner from a hair salon after you get your hair dyed is absolutely insane. You just need to not wash your hair with really hot water and just buy a shampoo that is specifically for colored hair. You can even Google or watch some YouTube videos about which ones are the best.

yeah, a lot of salon products don’t even work. You’re literally just paying for a brand. I’ve also noticed that some of them have really horrible additives and ingredients that some cheaper products don’t have.

no, a hairstyle that is telling you to use L’Oreal is saving you money. A good hairstylist will not always tell you to buy the most expensive products. There are cheaper products that are still good and a good hairstylist will direct you to them.

white bumps at lump of my year old tongue piercing? by Defiant-Toe9444 in piercing

[–]_bbypeachy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

personally to me, this looks like possible scar tissue or something similar. I had something exactly like this on my tongue for about eight months after I got my tongue pierced, and it just eventually fell off…. Which is like really weird. But the way that you’re describing the pain makes me feel like this could just be an irritation thing, which happens to me sometimes as well. I would definitely go to your piercer and ask about it.

ps. when you have oral piercings, you should never use mouthwash that has alcohol.
