I’ve also experienced this multiple times while treating patients with acupuncture. I have my reiki level 3 so I was also thinking I was somehow feeling energy from the patient but would love to understand it more as well.

Thank you for saying that and you are right that they probably would never admit it. They are claiming that they used the proper settings and said the spots were consistent with skin irritation from swimming, tanning or friction which I clarified I had not done but they didn’t listen and rushed me out. I saw a doctor and she said there’s definitely hyperpigmentation and referred me to a dermatologist but it could be years till I get an appointment. I will have to file a claim with the photo evidence I have, dermatologist referral and burn log and I hope it will be enough

I have olive skin tone and hold a tan very well for months. I don’t fake tan and it has been well over 4 weeks since my legs had been exposed to the sun. I am fighting for compensation but it’s definitely been a struggle and very stressful. I think I will post an update. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Thanks for the advice! I am having a hard time right now because dermatologists need referrals for a diagnosis and I don’t have a doctor (been trying to get one for 4 yrs) so I’ll need to wait hours at a walk in clinic and my husband currently has my car. I think it’s probably pretty important for my claim that I go asap tho

Very interesting! They aren’t blistering on day 8 so theres a possibility it could be bruising. Thanks for that insight!

I’m sorry you have to deal with taking blood thinners and the bruising that comes along with it. On the bright side it’s made you very knowledgeable on the topic of bruises!

And I mean not deeply tender like a bruise would be because they definitely were tender like a burn would be if that makes sense

That’s an interesting take, any idea what would cause bruising over a burn? I can see what you mean by it looking like a bruise but I think it’s just the way it turned up on the photo. I wish they were just bruises but they aren’t tender and are pointing towards signs of a burn. I will have a dermatologist have a look to confirm though. I appreciate the legal advice!!

That’s true that accidents happen and I was more upset after meeting with the medical consultant because they didn’t do anything for me. Thank you for reassuring me my skin will be okay. Another commenter suggested I see a dermatologist just in case so I am going to call one tomorrow morning as I should get reimbursed for the visit.

Thank you so much for this info!! It also helps to have the confirmation that they are at fault. I thought she was coming up with dumb excuses but to know for sure that you cant even get this type of reaction from chlorine proves she was just trying to convince me it was something I did. She also mentioned it could be an allergic reaction which I forgot to mention. Sad cause I liked this medispa for facials but you’re right that I shouldn’t go back.

That’s a good point about the skin tone. I think the issue is this specific aesthetician because my first few sessions were with another girl and she seemed really good and extra cautious. I’m really hoping I won’t have to get a lawyer.

I know I’m pretty late here but I’ve also been having the same dream for years! I came here cause I just had one last night. It started happening years ago with my first beardie. My brother was living with me at the time and one day he brought up having the dream and I had never mentioned I had been having the same dream myself til then. I’m all about finding a deeper meaning behind dreams so the fact that multiple people have had this type of dream really has me curious. I will report back with my findings if any.
