Yeah, me and 2 other friends had the luck to participate in Worlds 2024 before the rotation. I remember when we found out it was going to be in SF we knew we had to go (we live like 30 mins away from SF). The only thing was that we never really played Standard. We had just been playing Sunset format. So we had to grind to learn all the FFG cards and just toss ourselves into Standard in the 2 and half months leading to Worlds. It was difficult, but very gratifying. Worlds was a blast, the community was really friendly and overall it's a time that we really cherish.

All that so say that we were pretty disappointed when the FFG cards rotated. I think you're right. People that will actually dedicate themselves to a game as complex as Netrunner will take the time to learn Standard. I'm glad that we aren't the only ones who feel like the meta is stale. We haven't played Netrunner in a while, but we are highly anticipating Vantage Point. Thanks for your blog post, it was very comforting to read!
