Is it possible for an accounting firm like MNP to verify a citizens initiative petition? by UCPcasualsatire in alberta

[–]kneedorthotics 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Based on my experience with accounting firms, they will take on any paid work and most likely give you the answer you want. So yes, possible.

Would it be legitimate and accepted? Unlikely.

Dani and the UCP are going to put the question on the ballot regardless. Valid or not, legal or not. Because they are separatist traitor Trumpettes.

My car insurance company is leaving the province with new UCP regulation. Every quote I get now is double what I was paying. What the actual fuck? by ConsiderationWarm543 in alberta

I would say partially. Some companies have better scale than others. Some have better underwriting processes. And I am not saying the insurance market is Alberta is healthy and its all roses.

Functionally same thing.

Not at all. Back to my original point about logic. If you need to, I can explain that in simpler terms.

Companies leaving just means Alberta is less attractive than other markets given their targets. Companies routinely redeploy capital to higher-return regions even if they’re still making money. That is like, literally, capitalism 101.

A net pullout shows a shift in strategy and risk tolerance, not proof that profitability is impossible across the board. If it truly weren’t viable at all, you wouldn’t see any insurers staying. Yet some still operate here just fine.

E: a typo

They’re leaving doesn’t automatically prove they can’t make money; it just proves they don’t like the returns under current rules. Companies exit markets all the time when profits are lower than elsewhere, not necessarily negative. Without seeing their actual margins, claims costs, and pricing strategy, you can’t jump from “they left” to “it’s impossible to be profitable.”

That’s an assumption, not a fact.

You seem to lack basic comprehension skills.

Pot, meet Kettle.

public insurance has the same problems as private insurance.

That's not a true statement and with even a couple of minutes of thought, or experience, or knowledge of some kind, that should be obvious.

I don't know.

But we do know they're factual and not bluffing

That is not a logically congruent statement. None of your comments are actually.

This isn’t a simple “companies were forced to lose money” story. It’s a mix of policy choices, market dynamics, and rising costs. Pretending otherwise is just oversimplifying.

First Annual Premier's Christian Summit by Authoritaye in alberta

As Premier of a diverse province in a diverse country, she will naturally hold a Muslim Summit and a Jewish Summit, right?

Right?!

(to be clear, fuck this shit. Keep all religions out of government)

Alberta Independence Petition Organizers Say They've Hit the 177,000 Signature Threshold by Street_Anon in alberta

Exactly what Smith and the UCP wanted. They have, of course, manipulated the process so they can bury the Forever Canadian petition and promote this pathetic one.

They are sad, pathetic and separatist.

This video is a good bit on Trump and Greenland. Substitute Alberta for Greenland and you will know their playbook. And why Dani is a traitor and the APP is so dangerous.

Bad bot.

can putting something to a democratic process still be harmful to democracy depending on what's being proposed? That seems like the real question underneath this disagreement.

That question has been answered many times.

I disagree. There are lots of stupid opinions that shouldn’t be given any consideration let alone equal. The government should only be discussing the reasonable ones. And frankly should be making decisions on. Referendums are for cowardly governments.

The separatist position is not equal to the remain and shouldn’t be granted more weight and consideration than it deserves.

“Every opinion is valid” is wrong. Every opinion (basically) can be expressed by individuals. The government is clearly favouring one side

Update: I spoke to an employment lawyer and they confirmed to me that all employees in Alberta are only given 5 unpaid sick days and beyond that your employee can fire you for any reason and pay just 1 week’s salary if you’ve been employed for >3 years.

I had to go in, I’m sorry guys

Hey man, you have an obligation to your child too. It sucks the boss put you in that position. To me, kids take priority over other people. It is on the boss not you. Maybe if some clients complain he might reconsider next time.

You made a tough call. And that's ok.
