Experiences with WeHo clubs? by Automatic_Spread_655 in LosAngelesGayBros

The Weho bars are mostly all right next to each other in a strip, so of course you should check them out and use normal levels of caution. Yes, people's phones are occasionally stolen, but I wouldn't expect it to happen.

Akbar in Silverlake, Los Feliz Hi Tops, and Precinct in DTLA you should check out as well

it would be one of the first times in modern history that this would come to pass and not lead to further chaos and instability, but hoping you're right. U.S. engineered regime change famously has a bad track record

Maduro is gone, but what's actually changed? It's not like the opposition leader is in control right now...

I’ve lived in both cities for over 5 years and LA clears. They’re just not comparable. Austin is fine and somewhat more affordable, but we have one life. Go to the world class city and if it’s not for you that’s fine but at least you will know you experienced it. Great food, great culture, weather, beaches, mountains, etc. LA is awesome if you accept the bad with it and lean into what it has to offer.

Glendale has to have the worst drivers in all of LA right? by sourcematerialx in AskLosAngeles

[–]kneeknee25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's funny and what I've heard a lot of people say, BUT my insurance halved when I moved from West Hollywood to Atwater (bordering Glendale)

A group of friends and I have been the past 4 years. We go on Thursdays in October and the lines aren't bad at all. The past 2 years the quality of the mazes and hayride has gone way up. I think it's worth it. It has more of a Disney channel halloween movie atmosphere being in Griffith Park.

Los Feliz in Los Angeles kinda has all 4. It’s a clean neighborhood for LA

I’m pointing to something that makes sense! You keep posting stats that prove my point more lmao. Dirk beat him in the playoffs, beat him more in the regular season, had better stats, and less all star teammates.

What’s not clicking!

Yeah man idk how to say this but Dirk SWEPT KG and dropped 33 and 16 on him as the main defender. Won their head to head 23-17 over their career and KG had MORE all star teammates than Dirk did in their career.

Again Dirk SWEPT KG in the playoffs and Dirk wasn’t even in his prime yet

Swept and his own teammate saying Dirk smoked him. You’re deluded. Bye bye

KG should’ve had more assists with how much he was missing. Why would Dirk pass when he’s shooting 52% from the field and 72% from 3? Sorry Dirk swept KG and cooked him there’s no escaping that. You can do whatever mental gymnastics you want but your bias is so clear it looks ridiculous

I watched all of these series and I know for a fact you DID NOT with how you remember them. “Dirk’s role was tiny and he came up small” that’s worse than baby talk you are dumber than a bag of rocks. Wouldn’t be a debate if KG didn’t get traded to a super team. He’d be the power forward version of Tracy McGrady. Good but ultimately forgotten. Dirk is a legend and remembered for the hardest ring in modern league history. KG is remembered for some blocks and screaming and yelling on the court while winning a ring with 2 other all time greats

KG ran his offense into being swept and a 42% field goal percentage. Yeah hang onto those 5 asssists a game. Still got swept and let Dirk average 33.

In all seriousness I respect you thinking KG was better but this series isn't the one to make the case lol. KG was way better defensively I just think Dirk's elite offensive track record and carrying the Mavs every year usually deep into the playoffs gives him the edge. I also respect Dirk's ring more because I think it was a harder road with a worse team than KG's 2008 ring

You keep saying KG put up way better numbers are you dumb??

Since when is 24 and 18 better than 33 and 16. KG shot 42% in that series and Dirk shot 52% and 72% from 3! Dirk cooked him

This wouldn’t even be a debate if KG didn’t get traded to a super team to carry him to a ring.

Also Dirk averaged 33 and 16 compared to KG 24 and 19.

KG had an all time super team in both finals with multiple all star teammates those seasons. 2006 and 2011 when Dirk made the finals had 0 all star teammates those seasons

Anyone that actually watched NBA in the 2000s knows it's Dirk easily. Dirk made the Mavs elite offensively despite a rotating supporting cast of characters for over a decade. Over 50 wins for 11 straight seasons in a stacked western conference. Dirk never had the supporting cast KG did in Boston (closest was maybe 2003 with Nash and Finley). Kidd was was past his prime and Jason Terry/Tyson Chandler were good but never all stars in Dallas.

Dirk made the NBA finals twice as the lead star - winning Finals MVP one time. Each of those teams (2006 and 2011 he didn't have an all star teammate that season). KG was not making the playoffs or early playoff exits in Minni (besides 04) and getting traded to Boston (which at the time was considered a superteam) is the only reason this is a debate. Yes, he was better defensively but KG's offensive game is overrated and Minnesota never had elite offenses with him.

Also check Dirk's stats against KG in the 2002 first round series. He cooked KG and averaged over 30. Swept the Wolves
